It just didn't quite measure up to some other hotels at that price point that we've been to. Due to the rainy/stormy week, we wanted to spend some time enjoying the facilities. The opening times for the pool were quite restricting (which we had read about before booking). But especially the lack of previous info that the gym could only be accessed after making a private appointment with the trainer (for ca. 70€ p.p. if I remember correctly) to then pay a day rate of over 20€ p.p to use the gym just seemed a bit outrageous. The member of staff who informed us about this also told us that apparently this is also only possible Thursdays to Sundays and quite a few of the machines don't work. Needless to say we didn't end up trying it ourselves. It felt like a rip off and left a sour taste in our mouth. At all the hotels we've been to so far the gym was included. It was quite unfortunate as we had been looking forward to some exercise on the rainy days. If you look on the hotel website and read the fine print on the gym it tells you about the add. cost. It would be great to find info like that on booking.com also.

The apartment was good, the only downsides here were the (for us) too soft mattresses and little space to put stuff in the bathroom. The choices at breakfast are exceptional. Especially if you come with kids they'll probably love it (and the playground right outside the breakfast area). The hotel seems mostly well kept.

Check in time very late, initial staff rather abrupt and almost rude and unhelpful, room on 2nd floor only lift to 1st floor then stairs, room very hot and only simple standard fan, overhead ceiling window tricky to open to allow fresh airflow had to be closed due to rain. No milk or teabags in room - no restaurant or bar open on site.

Nice room, quiet surroundings and location. Parking very handy to room. Breakfast excellent but busy - breakfast staff very obliging.

Pool is a bit small.

Breakfast was very good, staff extremely friendly and helpful and they laid on Easter treats on Easter Sunday. Rooms were spacious, clean and well laid out. Liked the direct access to a veranda and the woods.

Hotel info had said no cleaning services on Sunday which was fine by us. The problem was the cleaning stuff was cleaning the house with multiple room so loud (talking to each other using the equipment carelessly, bumping through vacuum cleaner into the wall next to us, throwing glass etc) and the talking to each other over the entire property space outside. The was the opposite of enjoying a quiet Sunday morning before doing an excursion. The second problem was the reception was not in service when we wanted to complain!

Quite area of the hotel with lots of nature around it. Can start biking and hiking tours from the hotel. Next beach is walkable At Lemkenhafen.

The late check-in 15.45 and early check-out 10.00 seemed unwelcoming. Check-in was slow and long winded. There seemed to be a lot rules, which seemed excessive for the type of visitors the hotel attracts.

Fantastic location in the middle of nature. Sympathetic architecture and landscaped gardens and ponds. Lovely pool. Generously sized room with terrace and own Strandkorb. Amazing breakfast buffet.

there were long black hairs in the bathroom that weren’t ours. We don’t have either long or black hair. /// Spa only if you paid extra. Towels or bathrobe only if you paid extra. /// We came to this hotel because it has a Tesla destination charger and we have an all electric car. In all the hotels we have previously stayed at, charging was free for guests but not here. They charged Euro 29.90 per charge which was not advertised. It says on their website that chargers are available but neglected to say that they cost extra. They did, however, say that about spa, towels and bathrobe but not for charging electric vehicles. We would not have come here had we known this.

breakfast was really nice! Room size ok, beds ok. Nice to have a patio and to be able to swim in the pool all by myself; in the evening and in the morning before breakfast.

1) Limited reception opening hours (closed at 8pm), 2) no evening meal options on site, 3) reception staff unable to advise about options for evening meal off site ("keine Ahnung, ich bin neu"/"no idea: I am new"), 4) no tea bags or botled water in room contrary to description on booking.com - response to my highlighting this was to say the error was down to booking.com and to change the info on the website. Proper customer service would involve an apology and providing the missing materials, 5) general attitude of hotel: you can have a comfortable stay (have a sauna, check out after 10pm) as long as you pay extra Summary: too expensive given the facilities available: it is more like holiday rental apartments (building layout, reception limitations) than a traditional hotel.

Room and all buildings very clean and comfortable. Many high quality breakfast options. Pool fun for kids.

The very quiet location might not suit everyone but it was ideal for us.

Gorgeous location, new modern buildings and all accommodation with terrace or balcony. We stayed on the drive to Denmark and liked it so much we stayed on the way back. The staff we met were all lovely, friendly and helpful. It was just a lovely place to stay.

Receptionist/ manager was particularly unhelpful. Bar was closed for drinks when it should have been open and he was standing there at the bar. “No water” for cleaning bikes. All done with a smile that was worse. No effort at all to meet reasonable requests. Should be said other staff were delightful.

Clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast.
