Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A small guest house right next to the road without contact with the staff. The room was small, we had to heat ourselves, it took a while for the room to heat up. Otherwise in order, even if the price-performance ratio is not very favorable. Free parking right in front of the building.

GermanyWe had run down rooms. The blinds were falling down from the window in one of them, the bathroom was a bit shabby, but still functional. Unfortunately we didn’t get the rooms that were shown in the pictures — they weren’t so bright and modern as presented with this pink design and chic mirror. I found it confusing.
Good location — easily reachable by bus from the train station or city centre. Comfortable beds and pillows. Good for the weekend, especially if you only spend nights there.

AustraliaThis hotel, the room, the bathroom and the halls were good in every way. Clean, spacious, good décor, the bed was comfortable and the shower good. They’re basic, no frills. Don’t expect a kettle, mugs or coffee. No bottles of water or drinking glasses although there was a bar fridge. There’s a Netto supermarket over the road so breakfast is easy if you’re happy to do it yourself. The bus stop is nearby and buses are direct into the town centre. The only thing letting this place down is the online reception staff. I requested early information several times giving reasons. My requests weren’t even acknowledged until I complained. In a similar fashion, I never received any email with the QR code for travel in the town which comes as a benefit of paying the tourist tax. Staff seemed intent on merely proving it had been sent rather than trying to resolve why I hadn’t received it or find an alternative way of sending it. Their best solution was for us to sort it out ourselves with the tourist office. By the time they suggested this, we already had. No help was provided should we have needed it. Their service and problem resolution skills could definitely do with an upgrade. Other than the online reception staff issues, it was an excellent overnight stop.
