Excellent friendly staff. Quiet. Great food. Perfect location.

Very friendly and English speaking staff. Early checkout was no problem and breakfast from the bakery was delicious!

Perfect location for hiking the Schluchtensteig trail, as stages 5 and 6 start and end right outside the door. The host wasn't on site when we checked in but was very responsive when we called to check in, and when we messaged about the second linen set missing. The room was really spacious with a nice terrace that allowed us to dry our wet hiking clothes. It's an easy walk to restaurants and supermarkets. Breakfast was plentiful with many options. Also the beds were so comfortable - all 4 of us said it was the best sleep of our weeklong hike!

The staff was great, very friendly and looking after your well being. The breakfast was exceptional, good variety and inhouse made traditional food. They have a good bakery and coffee on sight.

A part of the hotel is being renovated but unfortunately we ended up in an old room where the facilities were very outdated and not clean, including mold in the bathroom, shower cabin with mold in it, old bed and even older towels that we could not use. It was a pity we ended up in an old room having in mind that we have stayed there for 6 days, and most of the days the hotel was quite empty. Only on Friday and Saturday got full. It would have been nice to get a renovated room for a 5 night stay.

The mattress was in my opinion a bit too soft

Exceptional breakfast with scrambled eggs, prosecco and croissants. Facility was renovated and felt very quiet. Owner is super friendly and helps however he can. Slept well and felt rested. Has a balcony for guests.

Bath felt a bit outdated. Rooms could also use a touch of modernity. I guess, they are still working on it. Nothing else comes to mind. Felt pretty good for a one night stay on the Schluchtensteig. Breakfast starts late at 8pm.

The location was central, well appointed room great view with private balcony beautifully clean and well presented. Very comfortable bed good shower and bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and much home prepared bakery products, but special thanks must go to the owners and staff for their warm and kind hospitality they really made my stay there enjoyable hope to return again in the future , great family run hotel.
