How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThis was my 3rd stay in this hotel and I was unpleasantly surprised to see that now you have to pay extra for parking and breakfast. Given the fact that absolute majority of the guests are those travelling by cars, it seems not nice.. and the breakfast (which is good) was also included in the price in the past.

I often have eggs and bacon for breakfast so that was my choice however although it tasted okay, I think it was cooked in oil and it gave me an upset stomach.

Verified reviewLocation is very good. Close to A2, but you don't hear it. Would be perfect if restaurant ever works and breakfast are better. Coffe was good. Stuff speaks English, which is nice especially when it is not that common in Germany.
The breakfast was a joke. Seems like they cannot manage hotel full of guests. Cofee was pretty good. I cannot judge any food, as it was barely anything at 9am. The restaurant which does not serve in Saturday evening is another joke. Hotel that close to the A2 highway should be better prepared for guests who comes later. For the first time in this hotel I woke up with my neighbor's alarm. That was room at bottom floor, so maybe that was only because of its location.

Dinner/supper - we had very delicious smashed burger that was served on a very beautiful plate. One of the best tasting coffee.

Restaurant was closed on weekend during our stay. The only place you can actually have something to eat is pizza and kebab house that is 8 min walk away from the hotel.

Verified reviewThe hotel’s location was perfectly timed for our journey, providing a convenient and much-needed stop to rest for the night during our long car trip.
While we were aware in advance that there would be no food services on the weekend—the hotel sent us a message after our booking confirmation—it's worth noting that only a bar with drinks and snacks was available. Thankfully, our room was equipped with a tea set, so we were still able to have a hot drink. Additionally, the room had an odd smell, perhaps from recent renovations. We were too tired to talk to staff, so we just opened the window to air out the room. A particularly surprising detail was the extra charge for parking. Given the hotel's secluded location surrounded by fields, paying an additional fee for parking (even if it was up to 10 euros) felt unexpected since we had no other option. It would be very helpful for future guests to know that the final cost of the room will be higher than the initial booking price because of this extra charge. Overall, it was a good place for a one-night stop, but these are a few points other travellers should be aware of before booking.

Verified reviewThe room was very comfortable and spacious, with a nice bathroom, comfortable big bed, and all amenities we could need. Staff was very friendly. The rooms are also well insulated, as we could not hear anything once we closed the door.
Restauracant was closed in the evening, and after a long drive we would appreciate a nice meal made in house. But we were informed about that right after we made the booking. Also, as our room was at the very end of the hall, I guess the clean up wasn't as thorough, since we had a few big cobwebs around our door with about 4 massive spiders around. As a person who panics around spiders I did not enjoy walking around that.
