Nice modernized room / bathroom. Enjoyed the extensive breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was very nice.

We had our diner in the lobby which felt a bit forgotten by the staff. The hand out of the main course was scattered.

Hotel was located very quite and walking distance from the main town. There are a lot of beautiful hiking trails behind the hotel which we used during our stay. The breakfast service was a high standard and staff were very friendly.

We enjoyed everything

Located in a beautiful area with easy access to both the Black Forest and the cities, the town is beautiful too. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed breakfast as well as cold cuts and salads in our balcony with wine from the property. The views were also a plus.

It does not have air conditioning, the room receives the sun all day so we had to open the large door to cool down. It was not a problem during our stay but it might be if temperatures go up during the day and do not really go down at night.

Fantastic location. Lovely modern rooms with an excellent balcony. Breakfast was very good.

It is located just outside of Gengenbach in a lovely natural setting. The outside dining area and lobby are updated and very nice.

There was a massive heat wave (up to 36 degrees during the day). The rooms were unbearably hot, with no A/C or cooling. There are no screens on the windows and opening them would allow bugs in. There was a large hornet nest next to one of our rooms, and opening the windows caused many hornets to flood into the room. The staff were reluctant to bring fans to the rooms, and even with them it was impossible to sleep. The rooms weren’t as updated as the rest of the hotel but were adequate otherwise.

We found this a very nice hotel in a quiet location with plenty of on site parking. It is only a 15 minute walk to the old town. We enjoyed a great breakfast. The receptionist was very friendly and went out of her way to assist us

The staff were excellent. Breakfast was also a winner. We stayed in the Black Forest area to explore and it was amazing.

Ate at the restaurant twice in our 4 night stay and found it to be good, but not great.

Friendly staff, lovely room, great breakfast. Herr Huber kindly gave us a lift to the train station when we were leaving as it was raining. It is a good walk 15m walk from the town, some of it uphill. We didn’t mind this and enjoyed the walk but you may want to check this.

Large, comfortable room with King sized bed and very well equipped throughout. We ate there both nights we stayed and the food was delicious and well presented. Breakfast was varied with plenty of choice, all freshly prepared.
