Just one little thing - it was quite hot in the room, no aircon & small window, so the air was not really going in, although I left it open for the entire night.

The man on reception in the evening was very helpful and friendly, and the lady I met in the morning as well. And thank you for letting me leave my luggage with you!

There was no fan. I understand Europe doesn’t have air conditioning but a small fan would have made the difference.

It was very well marked and it was across the street from a 24 hour gas station. Also it was about a 10 minute walk from the old city but didn’t cost a lot. I got a single bed and for a solo traveler it was perfect for what I needed. The breakfast was small but had various options and was all amazing!

Everything was perfect. The staff very friendly, the room very clean. Bonus points: the hotel is near the subway station. Also in proximity there are several restaurants, museums, and a gas station with a small shop, that is opened until midnight, where you can buy a water, beer, etc when the supermarkets are closed.

Very nice hotel close to the town centre. The staff is very nice and helpful. Very good breakfast. It was a good surprise given the fact that the hotel doesn't look like much from the outside.

My one-night stay at the hotel was exceptional. I loved the crisp white towels and linens, and the entire place was very clean. Even though I arrived around midnight, I didn’t have any issues with my stay.

Only a suggestion: a fan would be great in the summer

Had a great stay at Hotel Ferkelmann! I requested a room with a courtyard view, and was pleasantly surprised that my wish was granted — I had a lovely view of a small garden right outside the window, which made the room feel peaceful and relaxing. The room itself was clean, bright and airy, with more than enough space to feel comfortable. It even had a small fridge, which was a nice bonus. The bathroom was also clean, though the shower gel wasn’t there, but the receptionist was friendly and quick to help when I asked. The location is excellent — central but not noisy. I felt I got fantastic value for the price I paid. All in all, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely come back!

Very friendly and helpful staff. They checked twice for a lost item of mine after my booking :) The hotel has a charm as you still have receptionists, and not a machine to check in. The room is very clean and well taken care of. Comfortable bed.

I was there during a heatwave and it was very, very hot in my room. There was no a/c in the room, which is common in Germany, but a fan would have been hugely appreciated.

No airconditioning, impossible to keep the window open at night because there are men hanging around outside, being loud until long after midnight. It did not feel very safe to walk around after dark alone as a woman.

I booked what was billed as a small Single Room. Judging by the photos, it was apparent that the room was on the top floor given the slope of the ceiling in the photos. This posed some concern as I do stand 189CM but those concerns were unfounded. The room was on the top floor facing the back and was quiet just as I requested. The room also was bigger than I anticipated and the WC was full size and more than adequate with a good hot shower welcomed after a day on the Rails. The lights were a bit bright but the desk and rolling lounge chair did the trick when catching up on some e-mail at day's end. Fruhstuck was available for a reasonable price but my schedule dictated a visit to Yorma's in the Bahnhof at 6AM. So pleasurable was the experience that I booked a second night.

Some air conditioning would have been great because it got quite hot inside during the day.

The room and the bathroom were cozy and clean. I enjoyed the breakfast a lot, and the staff was really kind and helpful. Very good location as well, close to shops and metro/tram stations.
