We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

GermanyStaff was partly not very friendly and at least the ancillary building is very badly soundproofed. If you have insensitive guests next door that are very loud and keep running across the corridor you’re not get a good night’s sleep.
Good location, beautiful landscape, close to river Elbe and small beach, lovely place as such.

BelgiumAlthough the building has its charm by being dated, it unfortunately wasn't comfortable. The curtains had holes in them so light would still come through in the morning. We slept on the top floor and there is no elevator to carry up the suitcases. Also we had lots of musquitos in the room (summer and close to the water), a net would have been nice.
The surrounding is really nice, and the staff is really and helpful friendly.

GermanyI arrived packed with multiple bags and my wedding dress hanging as well as with my dog on the leash and was welcomed at reception. The phone rang and was attended whilst i was waiting fully packed with all my stuff for 5-8 minutes. Next I am being asked if I wanted to pay now or at check out when I asked to drop my stuff first (no help was offered). The rooms are not very clean, the bedroom did not have shades on the roof window so that daylight came in, no mosquito nets to protect from insects (i got stung many times during the night), room not well isolated (directly under the roof) and it was very very hot. I booked a room with my dog and was sent to an upstairs room with a metal staircase my dog was unable to go upstairs and downstairs. I went to leave the dog with friends as could not carry her up or down (25kg dog)… the room looked clean at first, but then you see that there are many stains on walls and tiles. The bathroom looked ok, but also roughly cleaned only. Chalk stains on tooth brush glasses, dirty spots on trash bin. Breakfast only at 8 am (which i find late) and also no coffee possible any time before that. We went to get married in a neighbouring town the next day and had to be up early. No curtesy coffee no nothing.
The location is right by the water with nice hiking opportunities nearby

SwedenThis is probably the best value for money I have ever had at any hotell. The hotell is right next to the Elbe dyke and if you walk up on the dykes you can have a magical view over the Elbe. While a bit out of the way from central Hamburg, it's only 20 minutes away from the historical town of Stade.

LithuaniaThe one problem still exist - no working table in the room. So you get just bed and armchair. So to work a little bit is quite problematic.
Very good place not so far from Hamburg, on the bank of river. Nice price - 40 eur - was very good
