The hotel is located right on the Mohnesee with nice views across the water to Korbecke. We had dinner and breakfast here and the quality of the food here is of a very high standard. Very friendly and efficient staff made this a great destination.

One member of staff obnoxious, with a smirk. Car parking was a problem, told to move vehicle to a location where I could get out of vehicle, due to disability. Moved vehicle back to original location. First room was too hot for my Asthma. Not suitable for disabled.

Stayed here with our children on the way through Germany, great setting by the lake, lovely and clean modern house that accommodated us all with our dog, guaranteed parking, staff was very friendly and welcoming, we enjoyed the dinner and breakfast, very well presented food, good variety. We wished we had more time to explore the area and would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location for visiting the dam and great view across the lake. The room was a little bare -- could do with some pictures on the walls. Bathroom was huge -- even had an armchair! Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Dinner served outside was excellent with very varied menu and breakfast good. No problem with parking as long as your handbrake is good!

Leaving to our next location would have stayed longer if it were possible.

The view of the surrounding area. The comfort and relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff. Delicious breakfast with athe best night's sleep of the visit.

Very steep hill to car park which is not great on a motorbike. Arrived at 8:30pm and restaurant kitchen had stopped serving so had to go to local petrol station for something to eat. I definitely should have read the reviews etc.so my fault for not doing that. I also struggled to lock the door from the inside and was unable to make it clear what the issue was as I cannot speak much German and likewise neither could the owner - although Booking.com state that English is spoken as well as German. When you are travelling alone as a single female it is important that you can lock the door behind you when you go to bed. Mohnesee is a very safe place but it is still frustrating that I spent an evening worrying about an unlocked door.

The single room is like a prison cell, needs to be urgently redesigned and modernised. Single bed against a sloping ceiling, really? No where to relax in the evening unless you have booked for a sit down meal.

I wanted a one night stopover close to Mohnesee, and this place absolutely delivered - simple comfy room with view of the lake, great breakfast and excellent evening menu in the restaurant. Friendly welcome, plenty of parking, all good.

No tea coffee making facilities in the room, no air conditioning.

Excellent views, great location, lovely staff, superb food. Great price too.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the bungalow (there was a fridge) though to be fair, there isn't really anywhere for a kettle/cups to be stored and I didn't ask. This was a minor irritation on the Wednesday we arrived as the hotel is shut Tue/Wed and is quite remote. We couldn't control the heating and relied on the portable heater supplied to keep the bungalow warm and assist in drying wet clothes.

Booked due to location and looked the best in the area. We were not disappointed. Well laid out and comfortable bungalow (for 3), comfortable beds, quiet, good parking for motorcycles (right outside), good communications, good value food, breakfast, friendly staff and online booking system.

The staff went above and beyond what they needed to do, by waiting for us well beyond their going home time and guiding me to the hotel when the bridge we needed to go across was closed
