we got a room in a newer part of the hotel, which was not that romantic. The airconditioning was being refurbished, and simply didn't work. Extremely slow service at the hotel restaurant; food OK, but not more than that.

The parking costs 18 euro per night (wasn’t told beforehand), the pillows were very empty and breakfast would've been amazing had it not been emptied 3 minutes after opening due to only on staff member working.

Staff can be slow, room was small, outdated and had several issues, like broken items in the bathroom, rusty air-conditioning that made noise, room not able to cool down in warm weather

Second year round the reservation in the restaurant has not worked, despite having had a confirmation from the hotel. After having driven 1000 km to arrive at your hotel, we really wanted to have our dinner at the booked time. The staff in the Palio restaurant was not very friendly and helpful despite a few tables being empty. The airconditioning is not working properly in the rooms - unfortunately it was the same problem last year,

Very good breakfast, although the food selection has diminished each of the last few years. Very friendly and helpful staff in the breakfast room and at the reception. Excellent sauna. The lounge area is magnificent. Very good parking garage at the premises.

We stayed in old part of the hotel (refugium). The hotel is pricey for what it is. The bed, whilst comfortable, is not a true double but 2 singles put together. Pillows are inadequate in terms of support. Bathroom was fine but the shower is old and not what we would expect, even in the old part of the hotel. The Italian restaurant: good food, but extremely poor service, and lacking a professional host or hostess. Upon arrival, we waited and waited and finally asked staff where to sit. Don't order Espresso Martini: they don't know how to make it.

Upon arrival we had to change room due to a malfunctioning AC involving several of the lower floors. However, after getting a new room on the top level, we found, that barely no water was comming out of the shower head - probably yet a technical issue... Our total impression of this hotel is, that the 5th. star is a bit exaggerated in comparison to other very nice 4 star hotels we've visited.

Super location very near the old town. The breakfast buffer was superior.

The room was fairly cheap, and being met by a big noisy dehumifier in the room just gave a bad first impression. I know its there for a reason in this old room but just expected higher room standard, since the hotel is so high ranking. But understand that this room probably is their cheapest one and also why we found it.

It was a nice cozy room in the old top floor with old original details. Their garage parking works great. We could even let the car stay for a few hours after we checked out, so we could explore the city. Friendly staff happy to help. Really beautiful city center with old houses. The hotel location is great.
