We prefer a softer mattress but the mattress was firm, oh well. When we asked the staff for thicker pillows he immediately handed my husband a key to get some out of another (unused) guest room. Because it is a guest house it has a small staff and a homey, cozy environment. Be sure to push the buttons to turn on lights in the hallways so you are not walking into darkness. We would highly recommend anyway because travel is about new experiences!

The staff were very kind and the property was charming in traditional German flavor. We arrived on Easter Sunday after booking one day prior and only speak English. The staff suggested that we make dinner reservations in the dining room and we enjoyed the delicious food and lovely ambience. We enjoyed the balcony and nearby bus stops and hiking to a waterfall. We spent the day in Leopoldsplatz and it was amazing.

If you dont have a car, consider that you have a bus running every hour until 6. Otherwise the other option is to walk or take a taxi. The noise is loud from the restaurant since 6.30 am, pillows are bad, very bad

There was honestly nothing we didn’t like …… but just one very minor point …. compared to other similar guesthouses we stayed in, our shower room, (although it was perfectly adequate), seemed just a little bit dated.

A really lovely, family run Guesthouse. The staff in particular are so friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a really cozy atmosphere and the food is excellent. Our Bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed and a balcony. Everything as kept spotlessly clean. Perfectly positioned for a short drive into Baden-Baden or to explore the surrounding countryside.

Booking this place for a night's stay when motorbiking in the Black Forest. It's in an excellent location for the Black Forest and a lovely Guesthouse. Plenty of parking and a nice restaurant to eat. The staff were very accommodating in Guesthouse and at the restaurant, making my father a gluten free meal. Rooms were spacious and clean. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

This family run guesthouse hotel restaurant is well situated nearby Baden Baden centre with the car. Easy parking. Nature park very closeby for walking. Spacious rooms, quiet at the rear of hotel. No lift. 2 floors. Mini fridge in room. No kettle nor tea facilities in the room. Nice shower. Balcony with my room 112 at rear. Restaurant pricy but excellent food and wine and service. Breakfast 10/10 for me. Beautifully presented, beautiful room, ceiling and good variety of food. Good price overall.

Overall, there were no significant drawbacks considering the affordability of the stay.

The breakfast was alright, but you have to ask the staff if you want fried eggs or coffee. The room was okay but looked a bit old. Lowering the blinds was a little hard but we figured it out. It's easy to park here if you come by car. We found lots of parking space in early February. The whole hotel has a German charm to it, simple and strong with its own beauty. It feels like it has a big history, with many tourists having visited before us and many more to come after us.

Breakfast is fine, but selection is really very, very basic. OK for one day, but not much longer. On the third morning, I asked for an omelette, but I was rejected (kindly but still...) as the lady was alone (no kitchen staff). :-/ My colleague had better luck two days earlier. He got fried eggs no problem. Maybe it's because he's better looking than myself. :-) Other than that, the pillows are either too large, or they're need more feathers inside. They're too thin. A hook (to hang a towel or clothers) inside a bathroom would come in handy.

Great ambient. Cozy, traditionally furnished place, excellent restaurant (for lunch and dinner), very friendly staff. Nice location, although situated by a road that is a bit noisy during night. During warm part of the year, when the windows are open, it might pose a problem for light sleepers (not for me :-) ).

We really liked this place! Caution to guests with lots of luggage/problem with 1 or 2 flights of stairs: there is no elevator!

Comfortable small hotel with a cozy room. Location on the connecting road to Baden-Baden.( Road 500) Nevertheless a very quiet location. Very good breakfast in a comfortable dining room. Reflects the hospitable character of an inn of the Blackforest area. Excellent to explore the Blackforest area in the hills or discovering the lovely spa town Baden-Baden.
