Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumThe hostess, in front of all the guests started loudly claiming I didn’t pay enough for the room. That it was also not correct that I was having breakfast with my children while I supposedly only paid for two meals… I in fact DID pay enough and showed her later on. She purposely made a stink in front of all the other clients because I seated myself and my children in the breakfast room for lack of her presence. I am healing of a cancer and had to sit down and my children were hungry. We meant to offend no one but I suspect my decision caused the scene… she later made it up by offering extra drinks for the children and myself to go.
The location was great. The room was clean and well stocked.

United KingdomMy ONLY niggle was that the bed was very soft, along with the pillows, which was a little disappointing as the rest of the hotel was really nice. Needless to say, we did not sleep well. If this is sorted out, however, I would highly recommend the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has amazing memorabilia adorned on the walls, and there is a themed section in the bar / restaurant, which was nice. The rooms were spacious, and facilities were very good. We were travelling with our dog as well, who was warmly welcomed into the hotel and there was easy access to the outdoors for toilet breaks during the night (for the dog, not us ;P)
