Large well-furnished room. Quiet but handy location. Good value for money.

You pick up your key from a box and fill in a form saying what you want for breakfast. You put the form in a box, although I didn't think the location of this box was obvious. The hotel is unstaffed after breakfast. There's a landline number, although I didn't get a reply when I used it. The mobile number appeared to be out of service. I'm not saying I didn't 'like' any of this, although some people might think it's a bit of a palaver. (No lift, although this didn't bother me.) The place would look more attractive if there were no graffiti on the walls (although graffiti is a general problem everywhere in Germany).

The rooms are still spacious and have a nice homelike atmosphere to them. The location is great, the room was still very quiet.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times over the past 15 years. Unfortunately, it has been going downhill, the carpets are torn (and probably more than 20 years old), the bed was squeaking, the TV guide shows station that went out of business more than 5 years ago, the wifi is of pre-Youtube standard. The service is minimal and unhelpful, it is the first hotel I've encountered that refused to store luggage for an afternoon. It is sad to see this place going downhill.

- the reception is closed the whole day except breakfast - When I arrived and couldn’t find the key box (hidden in some backyard behind a sketchy metal gate) I had to call many different numbers because the number give by message wasn’t available. The building looked almost abandoned so that I thought I’d been scammed until finally someone called me back and very unfriendly told me how to get the keys - the building is a series of complex corridors with no light that made it frankly quite scary for a woman traveling alone knowing that the reception was not open… - one has to book the breakfast and set the time in advance and then walk through the named corridors to put the list into a box. It makes it all very stressful and plus the list was only given on the first day, so no option to change afterwards - the breakfast itself is ok but some items seemed to have been there for several days so that on the second day of my stay the milk tasted a bit sour… - the internet was barely working which was a problem for me since I was planning to have some online meetings from there, so that I had to find an alternative on the fly - the room was freezing cold and I had to sleep with my clothes on in the first night because no one had bothered to pre-heat the room to a livable minimum - all of this for 80eur per night, is clearly overpriced

I had a good experience with the Man responsible for keys , but the woman war very cold and impolite and no patience. Room was cold and not clean, old bed cover , dust all around . I was not happy with room and stay . Only good thing was the man responsible who helped me.

Solid - good money for value, meeting expectations. good location

Good location in the center

No reception, not easy to find keys or entrance, room was very basic. Real problem was the smell in the room. Damp or sweaty maybe? Smell came from the bedsheets. Shower gel was in ketchup-like satchels. Had to bite it open. Mattress was old, used, not comfortable.

Breakfast was okay but.there was no many option. Fried egg was not as expected as it was become hard.

The first thing I was so disappointed , there was no elevator, my room was at 4 th floor. I was sick but the staff helped me out. Thats very thankful

The hosts were extremely understanding and went beyond their duties to help me with some formalities.

Complicated navigation along many stairs and corridors between some rooms and the restaurant & reception.

Good location in a very cool city. 10-15 minute walk from the station right next to a large number of restaurants. Easy check-in and nice breakfast

The hotel is a bit older, so expect that. Parts of the carpet are visibly worn and I could feel every spring in my bed. But the staff was nice and I enjoyed my experience
