Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. A-ROSA Gothisches Haus has a fantastic location in the beautiful town of Wernigerode. The interior has a slightly older style, but it is charming, well-maintained, and very cozy. The hotel offers convenient garage parking nearby, which is a real advantage since parking can be challenging in older towns. Everything worked perfectly and was very smooth. Our room was comfortable, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was simply fantastic – delicious and with plenty of variety. Overall, it was a truly pleasant experience, and I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wernigerode

The furniture was very dated and the hotel's marketing definitely makes the rooms look more aesthetic than they are in reality. We were looking forward to using the spa facilities but the steam room and sauna were not usable at 3pm in the afternoon which we were a little disappointed by.
The hotel's location was excellent and breakfast was outstanding in terms of produce and variety. The hotel room was spacious and very clean and we appreciated the content of the mini bar being included in the price for the stay. The free water for the journey home was a thoughtful touch.

Hotel sent messages in German and when asked to resend in English resent the same German message.
The hotel's facilities were of a high standard and provided a very comfortable stay. The extra care of a welcoming rose flower at check-in, plus a free mini bar with soda and water especially acceptable on a day with 25c temperature. Very good breakfast. Hotel parking. Extra touch of free water for our journey at check-out.

Our rooms were very nicely furnished and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection catering to every taste. One of our group was vegetarian and she enjoyed the ample breakfast selection. Food in the restaurant was very good and good value for money. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was a great meeting point in the evenings and the friendly bar keeping service was excellent. The hotel was an ideal starting point for us to explore the Harz region, We had a great stay!

I wish we’d been able to book a spa treatment, but there were none available. We waited u til arrival al to try to book, so booking in advance would have been better for us.
The hotel staff was welcoming and accommodating. We really enjoyed relaxing in the spa area and having breakfast included every morning was convenient and delicious.

Getting in with car is hassle, check parking house address from navigator, not the hotel address
Central location of middle of the city. Easy to walk around and find good cafe shops. Hotel was good, breakfast was ok and bar really gave feeling of nice Hotel

The mattresses on the beds were a bit too hard for my liking and like most hotels their hard boiled eggs made for breakfast were too hard.
It is seriously one of the best hotels I have been to. The location is excellent and it is an ideal base for sightseeing. The breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from. The personnel were also very helpful and we had no problems communicating in English.

Most of the staff are awsome however we encountered 2 of the rudest staff members we have ever come across on our travels. 1 female in the spa who virtually man handled me in the sauna because I went in with shorts on. The 2nd the dark haired girl working breakfast. Remove crockery from under my wife's nose whilst she was still eating. Totally spoiled our stay!
