Nice place, location was comfortable for us, reception desk 24/7

Soundproofing is poor because of the old building

Difficult to rate ‘romance’. The hotel is fine, the Tiergarten is close, but the graffiti around the SBahn detract a bit.

I should have read the small print: because I booked through you instead of ringing the hotel directly, breakfasts were twice as expensive.?

Quiet location with easy access to public transportation, so we could get anywhere easily. The kindness and efficiency of the staff was evident from the moment we arrived. Outstanding breakfast.

We enjoyed the modern art everywhere particularly in the breakfast room. The breakfast was copious, generous and excellent. The room was large and comfortable, as were the beds. The shower had hot water and was excellent. The staff were at all times patient and very helpful, particularly Sandra, and we had many useful and pleasant conversations with them. The Hotel was very good value for the price that we paid. In brief, we found our experience in Hotel Hansablick outstanding and its location by the River Spree excellent with a direct S9 train all the way to the airport.

Classic door lock system with heavy key assembly

For my first visit to Berlin, I was looking for a hotel in a quiet area and close to Tiergarten as I expected to be walking there. Within my budget up popped Hotel Hansablick … and I’m so glad it did. I could not have made a better choice! A bonus of its location is that you can hop on the S9 S-Bahn train at the airport and it will take you directly to Tiergarten S-Bahn station, which is no more than a five minute walk from the hotel. On arrival I received a very friendly greeting and was soon unpacking in my room, which was spotlessly clean, bright and airy with all the usual creature comforts. I hadn’t booked breakfast in advance, but swiftly rectified that at reception. This proved to be a great move as it was definitely one of the best buffet breakfasts I’ve ever enjoyed. It also has the benefit of it being available from 06:30 should you wish to cram as much sightseeing into each day as possible. The staff are on hand to help you at all times, for example to guide you towards somewhere to eat for dinner. On their recommendation I tried “Mokka” on the first evening, which was a lovely Italian restaurant no more than 15 minutes away. A word of warning, though, is that they don’t take card payments. For the remaining evenings I dined al fresco at the Quelle Biergarten, which is very conveniently situated a few minutes away before you reach the Tiergarten S-Bahn station, and enjoyed a delicious Spargel (Asparagus) salad amongst other things. And they take card payments. The best recommendation I can give Hotel Hansablick is that I would definitely return!

We had a lovely stay. The room was a good size, the staff were lovely and the location right next to the river and Tiergarten park was great.

Possible to store our bi-cycles in the locked basement.

The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and absolutely perfect for a comfortable stay. We had arrived earlier than expected and hoped to check in sooner. The team went above and beyond to accommodate our request, not only allowing an early check-in but also giving us one of the best rooms to rest. This thoughtful gesture made our stay truly memorable.
