Check-in instructions weren't clear, saying you would be given a reservation code. In the end the automated check-in machine just asks for a surname as well which allowed successful check-in. Cleaners empty bins and add toilet roll if needed but nothing else. Toilet also not cleaned upon arrival, with stains on seat.

Within a comfortable short walk to Aachen HBF. Room was comfortable even though noise from outside is clear if you leave window open. Ultimately good price for days required.

The door didn't filter much noise, so one could clearly hear when the next door neighbours left or entered their room. There was a thermostat for the heating, but even when it was completely turned down, the room got very warm overnight. One of the shower doors seems to be defective. It was very hard to close it and I could only open it halfway after that because there was so much friction it was basically stuck.

Easy and fast check-in/payment with a machine in the entrance hallway. Small, clean room with its own bathroom. The bed was comfortable, there was a small desk with a chair and a wardrobe.

A bit depressing, bad smell in the building (sewer smell – not in the room though) and it did not feel totally safe as a woman travelling alone.

This is an extremely simple hotel. Tiny room with a narrow bed and not much more, no reception. It is totally fine if you just need a place to sleep, kind of like a student dormitory. It was clean enough and check-in in the machine was easy.

15 min walk to the cathedral, basic room but with all necessities. Very good value for solo traveller who does want to sleep in a shared dorm but also does not want to pay premier for hotel rooms.

Seems a bit helpless if you are not able to check-in through the automatic Hotel-O-Mat. I need to put my first name instead of last name to check-in. Luckily I can check-in by this trial and error. The lamb near the beds is not working properly

The reservation code for the automated check-in machine was not sent to me in advance, so I had to call the hotel hotline to get it.

The hotel has a great location; the automated check-in machine is fun! The 24-hour hotline is very helpful and solves all my questions. From other reviews, I saw complain about party and noise. I was expecting the sound proof quality to be bad, but luckily the neighborhood of the night I spent is very quiet.

The corridors are a bit smelly as no air goes in

The bed was comfortable especially for a person like me who needs a hard mattress. The sheets smelled like home! Slept well :)
