Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNoisy drunks next door (it was beer festival time). Sound insulation is not as good as I thought it was...
Compact room, but perfectly adequate for a couple of nights or so.

PolandGood location but close to the train station, for us it was good, but you can hear the trains passing by
The room was clean and functional, perfect for a short stay. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection and fresh food. Parking at the hotel for €10 is a plus.

GermanyWhen I tried to book (on the day) an extra night for the beginning of my stay, despite it being possible, they wanted to charge me considerably more than I paid in total for the other two nights. I refused and stayed elsewhere. Dynamic pricing sucks!
Booking ahead a few days I got a reasonable price for 2 nights. Very close to main train station.

United KingdomThe hotel was a lot further away from the old town than we were lead to believe. As this was a main feature for us it was very disappointing

United KingdomThe rooms are far too small and basic for a planned stay of more than 1 night.
This simple format hotel provided a cool room at the end of a rail trip delayed by 6 hours. Our planned accommodation was no longer accessible so an emergency stay was required. The bed was comfy, the shower worked ok and the Aircon was superb on a very hot night.

RomaniaNothing given the price. A kettle will be nice.
Very modern hotel, everything was new and modern. Maybe too modern (shower in a room wh a double bed and a single bunk bed on top, with glass walls!). Has AC. Little noise from the train lines nearby due to good soundproof windows.

CanadaI thought a bit more for breakfast would be warranted, like scrambled eggs or fried potatoes or something, otherwise breakfast was fine.
Was very clean, good use of space, bright with large window. They had vending machines downstairs for pop, beer, snacks, coffee, which was great. Staff was very helpful. The parking was monitored and cheaper than other places in town. Even though it’s away from the downtown area, it doesn’t take very long to get to the main attractions and it’s very close to the highway for coming in.

GermanyBed was not the most comfortable but sufficient. Value for money a bit lower than usual as the price was higher due to high demand on that weekend (Weltkulturerbelauf).
Very convenient location close to the main station. Enough parking space seems to be available. Room had a clever layout, was clean and had big enough bed. Shower cubicle was spacious and its door water tight. Hard floor good for cleanliness and hygiene, not so good for noise though. We had no breakfast hence can’t comment on that. Window can opened. Very friendly and competent staff at reception - thank you!

PolandThere could be a kettle and some cups/glasses in the room for making tea and coffee. The shower is right in the room, so if you're sharing you don't get much privacy.
Very friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, fairly close to the old center of the town, great sound proofing on the windows (close to train tracks so it was great not to hear the trains). Room and bathroom areas were very clean and there is ample parking.

United KingdomI have no complaints.
Very conveniently located near the station and within easy walking distance of the centre. I really like the option to ask them not to waste resources cleaning the room every day and giving a bottle of water instead. Even though the railway was very close and visible from my window, I couldn't hear it at all, so was not disturbed at all.

PolandThe shower and the wash basin are actually in the room, separated just by the plank of mirror from the sleeping area, which is pretty tight itself. The interior design looks really cheap, with PVC flooring on the toilet and bath area floors, rather than tiles; and chipboard planks at 1m meant to protect the walls from don't know what, luggage probably. And then these energy saving bulbs that try to burn your eyeballs out.with the laser white light.
The staff were really firendly and helpful. And The breakfast was amazing, and rooms clean and tidy. The hotel is conveniently located, close to railway station and minutes away from the Old Town by walk
