How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewWe stayed here 1 night as a family of 3 with a baby. We had requested a baby cot in advance and this was confirmed, but upon arrival there was no cot in the room. Staff told us the person responsible had already left and they couldn’t arrange one. Our baby had to sleep in our bed, which was unsafe and meant that we all slept horribly. When we raised this again at check-out, staff were dismissive and said nothing could be done because the booking was prepaid. Very disappointing and not family-friendly.

It was noted that you needed a crib, but our floor staff apparently forgot to provide it in your room. The night shift was from an external company and apparently forgot that cribs were available in the office. As a mother, I can certainly understand that your night was terrible and that you slept very badly. As ibis Styles, we are a family-friendly hotel and offer many free services for children and babies. I am very sorry that we made several mistakes during your stay. Verified reviewWe can use the coffee machine all day and it is located near the ubahn station. The staffs were great and helpful!
The Air Conditioner was not working properly. Thankfully it was not that hot during our stay, but it was pretty uncomfortable at night.

Verified reviewThe staff were very helpful after we could not park in the car park. Due to our car numberplate could not be recognised by the cameras, so we had to park at staff car park which was closer for us. Very clean rooms.
The bins just near the hotel going towards the tram line are very unattractive, they where full af stuff and smelly. It's not on the hotel premises but not giving any justice to the place.l

Verified reviewAbsolutely wonderful stay – would gladly return! I spent 3 nights at the Ibis Hotel in Stuttgart and everything was simply perfect. The location is excellent – close to public transport, shops, and restaurants, making it super convenient to explore the city. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The service was outstanding – the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. Their hospitality really made me feel welcome and at ease. From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for more.

Really bad smell from the air conditioning system. We had to power it down otherwise we wouldn't be able to sleep. This gave us a bad feeling of the room, so we didn't enjoy that much our stay.

Verified reviewFor a business trip in the area, this hotel is ideally located. Easy to reach by train - just a short walk from the train station. There's a bar in the lobby that makes things easier.
