How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

I had the impression that if I had decided on breakfast at check-in, it would have been cheaper, even though we agreed I could decide in the morning. I was told it costs more when you don't take it together with the room.

Everything was great.
Location is really close to the city center with lots of restaurants options nearby. The room is very clean and comfortable with lots of space. AC works fine. Breakfast buffet is plentiful. Good underground parking at extra cost.

Some streetnoise to be heard even with windows closed, potential for improvement. However this hotel is in the heart of the city so some noise could be expected.
Good size comfortable room, cosy interior. Comfortable bed with clean sheets and pillows. Close to city center so restaurant and bakery options nearby. Breakfast buffet decent. No time to utilise the spa…

It is bad that the hotel does not have its own parking spaces and has a garage at -1, -2, -3. There is no minibar, slippers and bathrobe in the rooms. The reception staff was not very communicative. They took €50 of our deposit for no reason
The hotel is in a good location in the center. The hotel does not have its own parking lot, but a public garage that costs €18.70 per day. The price of packing for 45 minutes is €1.70. There is no parking fee on the street on Sundays. The guys working at the bar are very nice and professional. Room is very clean and bed is comfortible. Small gym and small sauna

The room was on the side of the room so was a bit noisy even with the windows closed. Also the bathroom door has no lock.
Value for money was excellent. It's a great hotel for the price and the breakfast has lots of choices. The omelet was specially delicious.

The air conditioning really doesn't work there. Luckily it wasn't too hot and we had a big window that opened. This hotel has a lot of conventions and when they are there the hotel loses its charm as some of the convention attendees do what they do
The location was excellent. Checkin smooth with Charlotte who was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious each morning and Saia and Jacqueline went well above their duties to ensure we had plenty of items to choose from and enjoyed each morning there. In the evening the bar provided us with a chance to relax and have a drink and Jawal was there to serve up great beers and delicious schnapps.

Windows are not sound proof
Absolutely happy with this hotel - location, rooms' sizes and cleanliness, breakfast, saunas, facilities, friendliness of personnel, internet, parking, lobby - all good for a very reasonable price. Excellent choice for a business trip or city break. Will definitely stay again

The rooms are warm for someone who is accustomed to sleeping with an open window.
The service was great. Even when there was a mistake in combining a direct booking with a booking.com booking, it was all sorted out in a very friendly manner. The location is amazing. It is a 2min walk to the city center and several parks are within 15min.

I've never been to a hotel before where you had two single duvets (even though I had a queen sized bed).
Was super close to the concert I came to Mannheim to see.

Check the bill carefully, they charged fee for my dog twice. Likely noticed it on time.
Location is good. The room was big but didn’t have the fridge and coffee machine. Overall the stay was good but the hotel has no vide so don’t expect too much.

* they put a piano on the first floor where you have the rooms and we’ve been bothered from very rude people playing in the middle of the night 3 times so 1st night was tough but luckily the staff was nice and we were able to change rooms. Avoid the 1st floor if you can.
