How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Some pieces of furniture are a bit outdated, but I didn’t mind so much. I’d rather have that, than a new style hotel where you can’t even open the windows.

There was a small fridge in the room which was very useful. It was not cooling enough.
Very friendly personnel, very good breakfast, car parking place on the hotel territory (for extra fee)

The cooked ham at breakfast was tough (bit over-cooked) every day. The entire hotel was extreemly extreemly hot - no air circulation in common areas - especially when stepping-out of the lift to the room floor - it was unbearable.

We could have known upfront, so not persé critic to the hotel. But we hoped to be closer to the city. But with the bus (5min walk) we could buy for 12€ a family ticket for the day.
fine rooms, and price wise good. Breakfast was great and we had a good stay here. Good service via the receptionist.

The air conditioning struggled in the extreme heat and the room wasn’t as cool as it should of been with air con on. We have stayed here before and it was fine I put it down to the blistering heat. Breakfast items were replaced when finished but you had to wait so if rolls ran out or something else there was a scramble when it was replenished, this wasn’t a staff issue as the breakfast staff were always busy more a volume of quests.
The location is good as it is not far from the motorway, the rooms are large and the beds are comfortable, the breakfast had a variety of choice and was lovely. The hotel accepts dogs which is a bonus and there is car parking on site.The staff were very friendly and helpful and polite.

We came for concerts in the Schwetzingen castle and the location was ideal to get there. Free Parking. Friendly staff. Would stay here again .

Rooms smelt of cigarette smoke.
We would go there again. Helpful staff. Very good sized rooms, location and facilities. Wish we had more time at the hotel to use sauna and gym. We walked to the centre of Heidelberg (1hour) but could have taken the bus as was nearby.

A bit far from the city center. You would need to take your car or public transport. As it is a busy road, travel time to the city can take quite long. The hotel is really big and it was hard to find our room as the room number signs are a bit confusing. Other than that, nothing bad to say about this place!
Nice hotel that can use a bit of an upgrade. The rooms are big and spacious, and the beds are huge and comfortable. The rooms are cleaned well and the staff was very friendly.

Location on edge of town but parking available in city center.
Parking on site. Good choice of breakfast especially for the price. Rooms are Fine with tea/coffee in the room. Good calue for money.

The carpet looked very worn out with a few stains, bringing the whole room’s experience down. We requested for a double, got a twin room. When we used the bath tub (for my child), there was leakage that made the bathroom floor wet. Luckily this was right before check out.
It was pet-friendly. The location allowed parking on site for a charge and had access to public transport. Tea/coffee maker in the room. Breakfast was very convenient. Bed was comfortable. Amazing staff.

Check the room before on the coffeemaker.
breakfest was good, enough choices room, door needed some maintenance. Coffeemaker missed the water container (was solved by reception) bed, was comfortable.

There was an alarm at 11pm. We all had to evacuate, nobody told us what was going on and we had to stay outside for a long time not knowing what happened. Because I was sleeping and had to get out of the hotel, I got sick. At least they could’ve compensated us with a free breakfast for the disturbance but nothing happened
