This is a family hotel and owners are lovely. Answer questions straight away on this booking system, helped us with finding a quiet room, suggested what to see. Helped with breakfast intolerances. Would definitely recommend a stay here

The beds were quite firm, although the sofa bed had an excellent mattress and was surprisingly comfortable. Also, the elevator stops between floors, which could pose a challenge for guests with mobility issues or using a wheelchair.

We had a great stay at this hotel. It was spotlessly clean, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The hotel seems to be family-run, and during our stay, the owners—two brothers—were personally taking care of the reception, which added a very warm and welcoming touch. They seemed genuinely passionate about providing a good experience. The location is also very convenient, just a few minutes from the city center and easy to reach. Highly recommended for a clean, friendly, and well-located stay.

I wish there were more hotels like the Mack!

This is the most wonderful hotel. We have stayed here before and we love the personal treatment we are given by the owner. He helped us with information on transportation, restaurants, theaters, and even lent an Apple cable for my iPhone. You could never get this kind of response from a chain hotel: a warm welcome every time you entered the building, close attention to our needs, and a joyous friendliness which made our day, over and over again.

It's a little bit complicated to get inside the property. I did get the impression that there was free parking, but that wasn't the case. I had an equipment trolley with me, but unfortunately the lifts didn't come to the same level as the room so there was a few stairs to navigate but nothing too difficult.

The support was very personal and helpful. I arrived late and was guided where to park and how to get in et cetera the room was comfortable and the breakfast provided everything that I wanted.

We feel everything was great with the hotel, but being American, I was slightly confused with the night entrance.

Check-in was wonderful, we were extremely pleased with the size of the room and the shower facilities. Everything was clean and looked beautiful. We would definitely stay there again!

We needed two keys, the first one was a regular card, the second one a bulky key hanger with a responder plus card. A little complicated to carry around. We left on a Sunday night and had large and heavy luggage. We extended checkout until 2pm, paying 25% of the room rate but we had to check out because after 3pm there was no one at the reception desk. Problem was solved by letting us leave the luggage in a back hall (not locked) behind the closed reception room. We were allowed to keep the card to be able to re-enter the hotel to pick up the luggage. It was ok but not ideal (I did not feel great about leaving my computer in an unlocked room but could not take it with me). Given that the hotel was not staffed and the room was anyway not being cleaned that day, we could have left everything in the room instead (without paying extra for late check out). Anyway, all was good in the end even if a little complicated...

very beautiful building and rooms, nicely furnished with two comfortable armchairs and with a spacious desk. Bed were comfortable and we had access to a balcony (but did not use it). Bathroom was very nice with a large and comfortable shower (I really loved the shower!). Breakfast was delicious and fresh prepared. Staff was accommodating and helpful. Because reception is only staffed until 7pm, late check in is a little complicated but worked well. There is no fridge in the room, but a large common refrigerator downstairs where one can take what one needs and write it down to be put on the room.

Beautiful old world hotel, I wish they were all like this. Very comfortable spacious rooms. Very well soundproofed. Extremely clean!! Staff were lovely and very helpful. Excellent breakfast. Excellent location easy to get to train and tram.

Comfortable room; location is perfect for walking into downtown Mannheim and/or visiting the historic Wasserturm. Front desk was extremely helpful. Parking conveniently available across the street or in front of the hotel. Would recommend for a nice stay in Mannheim.

AC did not work (was not broken but probably shut down by the hotel) so it was quite warm in the room. Reception is closed at 10pm. No cappuccino or latte for breakfast (just black coffee).

Was not the biggest fan of needing to pay for parking inside. But given the location and the lack of space, friends have told me it's fairly common for hotels in cities.

We loved our room (tower room), it has great lights and a wonderful bathroom with a hot tub and a fancy sink with lights. The room is spacious too. Friendly staff who are happy to help (e.g., call a cab, lend an umbrella) and everything was clean.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The reception was closed on arrival (late Saturday evening) but was guided to my room over the phone. The room had everything I needed. Would stay there again if I'm in the area.
