Air conditioning needed for the summer (a fan was provided, which helped some). A bit expensive considering breakfast was not included in the rate. A washing machine would be appreciated too.

Very spacious apartment with small kitchen. Parking right in front of the building. Lovely setting. Cooking and dinnerware were delivered upon request.

The main challenge was NO A/C! We would keep our windows open during the day but at night there were jurassic sized bugs that would come in so we had to close the windows and were quite hot. No fans available either. My kids biggest complaint was no netflix/streaming, just german TV. Also no microwave as was listed.

Beautiful and spacious room, it was great having a full kitchen and large bathroom. The view was amazing and my kids absolutely loved the pool! Very relaxing place.

The 90 degree sauna was a little small so it could get crowded or you might have to wait to use it but the plunge pool was ice cold

We booked the Hotel through Booking.com. Booking. com sells the rooms as having air condition. That is what we paid for. I even called the hotel and asked to make sure that we get the renovated rooms. They then went ahead and said that I had to pay a surcharge, which I happily did for all the four rooms I booked. When we arrived at the Hotel they informed us that Booking.com sells these rooms as having air condition, when in fact none of their rooms have air condition. None. They then blamed Booking.com for misrepresenting their rooms. It was over 30 Celsius and my wife is pregnant so we decided that she could not stay in an overheated room two nights. We asked for a refund and cancellation which only appended after endless discussions and threat of legal action. Either Booking.com or the Hotel is misleading customers. As we were told by the staff we were not the only guests having this experience. Either booking.com or the Falkenstein Hotel are therefore repeatedly knowingly misrepresenting the quality of the room. On top we found the place to be dated, dirty and the staff unfriendly.
