The size of the room was small. There was no kettle in the room. My bed's mattress was not the most comfortable one (I know this is very subjective) Based on previous experience with this type of hotels, we expected a small kitchenette corner in the room. We didn't even have a kettle in the room. There is a guest kitchen area on the ground floor, which was very well equipped, which we did use.

The design of the room is attractive to the eye, but not the most appropriate. The edges of the decor above the bed are inappropriate, as you hit the edge while sleeping. The light on the third (auxiliary) bed is also not properly placed, almost in the middle where your head is. There is no bedside table (at least a small one) by the bed.

Accommodation suitable for a short stay, as the room is really small, but clean. The hotel's surroundings are more like an industrial zone. Parking is provided upon prior reservation and for a fee. Wi-fi was good, staff friendly.

Lockers in the rooms were too small. Also I was in a room of 4 and two twin beds were arranged to be pushed together, luckily I was in the bunk bed but I would have felt uncomfortable if I were sleeping that close to a stranger

We stayed one night and did not care about the distance to the old city. It is around 40 minutes by walking. If you like walking around the city it does not matter.

Breakfast is super, lots of food and drinks. Hotel personnel is friendly. The room was comfortable. We stayed one night the hotel facilities met our expectations. It takes 10 minutes by walking to the train station. The bathroom was super clean. The room and bed linens were also clean.

Staff was quite unfriendly. I didn’t like the way they welcomed me during my check in. The breakfast was mediocre. Beds were not very comfortable.

The property is centrally located, walking distance from the main train station. The room was clean. Air conditioning was a big plus during the heat wave.

Unfortunately the tram was not in use to get to the old town so a trip there on foot was alltogether about 6km there and back.

Disappointed in the facilities provided even after 80 euros a night. No refrigerator in the room. No toiletries provided up front (only available if asked - I didn't get any because no staff were present at the reception)

Room in the smallish side, lockers are almost useless (they're triangle shaped and too small). It looks older than other Meiningers. It's quite far from the center, you're always wasting at least 30 minutes to get to the touristic part.

Very well priced hostel room in an economic modern hotel (that is why I put 8). Guest kitchen with fridge, micro, etc. and seating bar area. Train station close, but still 10 minutes walking.

VERY RUDE receptionist that doesn’t pay attention to the guest and not even responding when you call her today i came to her and i was standing in 1 metre from her face, she looked at me, didn’t even say hi and kept laughing with someone, yesterday it was the same and there was another girl that was very nice and cute, she made a good coffee and was just super nice

We booked it because it said on booking that they had parking. But apparently they were full. So had to drive around to find parking in the middle of the night. But luckily, there was a burger king 5 mins away.

Since I already appreciate the Meininger concept from Cologne, I chose it again in Heidelberg. This hotel/hostel looks brand new and offers everything a travelling backpacker needs at a low price: clean rooms (I booked a bed in a female-only room), a washing machine and dryer, a modern guest kitchen for self-catering, and a spacious common area. Everything was perfect!
