The bathroom smelled bad and stunk up the whole room, which had no circulation. My room was right on a main road and there was street noise throughout the night which distracted me. Primarily I found the bathroom unpleasant.

The employees were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent.

The air conditioner didn't work, and it was 30degC in Hanau that week, however the room did remain at a reasonable temperature despite this by opening the window wide when the evening was cooler and keeping it shut during the day. The free wi-fi was poor and couldn't maintain a FaceTime connection for calls home. When the room was cleaned it was limited to emptying the bins, making the bed and changing the towels. A used drinks glass on the desk and an empty glass water bottle on the side table were just left.

On arrival the room was clean and spacious. There was plenty of hanging space for clothes and a safe for valuable. There was a decent desk space for working, as well as a separate chair and side table set aside for having a drink and watching TV. The bathroom was a bit dated, but everything worked well and the shower was good. The hotel is well placed on the edge of the main shopping and restaurant areas and within easy reach of the train station.

Well, unfortunately the event we went to Hanau was cancelled and we had to leave earlier. I inquired whether we could get reimbursed for the extra 3 nights, but they couldn't do it because we went through booking. They sounded like that they would have done so, if the booking was done directly through the hotel. They suggested to that I revert to booking.com, but I appreciated the effort and kindness on their part.

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay, except for one problem with the shower. The water does not drain properly and instead backs up into the shower tray. It seems that the drain is clogged. I had already reported a problem with the toilet during my previous stay (2023). Since there are now again problems with the sanitary facilities, I asked the hotel to take care of them.

It shows some signs of ware. I have stayed in this hotel several times and clearly now it looks tired.

windows in bathroom in schneewitchen were a bit drafty, but closing the bathroom door kept the room warm at least.

I checked in but was given a room with different size bed. I had to request to be moved to a room I chose during my reservation 2 months ago. Even then, I was given a smaller bathroom compared to the picture on the website. The size of the bathroom is less of an importance than the size of the bed.

Heater not worked, we had to change the room. Slippers and other cleaning stuff should be offered not asked. No tiding room until the second night of staying.

The central location and good parking facilities makes the hotel a prefered choice. The superior room provides all facilities for a comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet offers dishes for various dietary needs and preferences. This is highly appreciated.

Upon check-in we found out that there was a problem with the heating in the JUNIOR SUITE The front desk provided us two electrical heating devices to ensure that the room became warm. When the repair of the heating took too long, we were offered a “superior room” in which everything was functioning well.
