How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

Hard to rate this property. Very happy with the room and its size and facilities, but service from reception on checkin was very very poor and it was if we, the guests, were an imposition on their day. Very very unwelcoming. We arrived for a 3pm checkin at 3pm. We were told the room wasn’t ready yet and would be about 20 mins. No problem. We sat and waited and the lady bought us a complimentary drink. So far so good. No problem. After 20 mins she came back and said it would be another 10 mins or so. Still no problem. No issues. We sat patiently and waited. Fortunately we had some food with us after arriving from overseas. After patiently waiting for 1 hour and 20mins, I approached the desk to a middle aged chap and politely asked if there was a problem as we’d been waiting so long. He was less than helpful and basically shrugged his shoulders and said it’s out of his control. No explanation. No apology. It would be fine if he said somebody checked out late or they were short staffed or some explanation but he didn’t care. Nothing. I said it doesn’t take 1 hour 20 mins to clean a room. So he rang house cleaning and miraculously the room was ready. He didn’t speak, got the room keys ready and gave them to me. No explanation. No apology. Nothing. Very poor service. I have since read lots of other reviews where recent guests have had similar issues with the reception staff at this hotel.
Large rooms. Plenty of space. Comfortable. Quiet. Nice courtyard. Great sauna.

Round the corner from check point Charlie, close to underground station, the Hotel is lovely, the room was clean, spacious and we got a terrace balcony as an unexpected bonus. High quality toiletries available in the bathroom. The kitchenette was really handy, the coffee was good. We also used the ironing room available. All staff were very professional and helpful, in particular the waiter in the hotel bar who was very attentive and had a great sense of humour. Didn't have breakfast as it took time away from sightseeing. Didn't use Sauna either.

The access panel in the bathroom was left open and only loosely covered with a liner, which unfortunately allowed an unpleasant odor to seep into the room. Carpets were a bit tired and could do with a refresh.
Spacious room with comfortable bed . Breakfast delicious with plenty to choose from. Lovely little back garden where you can walk with the dog. Great location for visiting Berlin

Perfect clean, location, breakfast. Thank you to the staff for being patient with my bicycle, my touring gear and my assorted luggage needs. They were superb, one and all. An excellent hotel and like all excellent hotels, it’s the staff that makes it so.

A little bit out of the way
Although a little out of the way an amazing place to stay. Huge room which was great especially when your staying for a week. While close to some restaurants and check point charlie it is a little bit of a walk to the main areas of berlin. Staff were amazing and their breakfast was good value.

I cant think of anything. It is close to U-Bahn stations as long as your iphone map takes you the right way, mine didn’t.
The property was easy to find and close to the sights we wanted to see. Located in a quiet road we got a good sleep, a balcony with chairs overlooking the terrace was unexpected. The room was spacious and comfortable. Would stay again. We took the prepaid breakfast, it seemed pricy but we couldn’t find anywhere nearby that offered the same type of breakfast.

Rooms were not ready when we arrived despite arriving after 4pm, Breakfast at the hotel was very expensive
Location really good (around the corner from Check Point Charlie and plenty of attractions and restaurants in the surrounding streets) Staff were really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Staff were keen to go the extra mile. Rooms were large and spacious

I was impressed by the room—spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the city. The hotel’s location is great, with easy access to the main sights. Pillows definitely need to be updated, very bad. Only left water in the room on the 1st and 2nd night. However all is well

Our room was facing a back yard and it was quite noisy early in the morning, due to the hotel staff activities. Strangely, there was very weak cell signal in the room.
The location is perfect. The hotel itself and the room in particular are exellent and the staff is friendly and helpful.
