How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I wish you would not play loud pop music during breakfast. It is irritating.
I often stay in Motel Ones. Always clean, reliable, good value.

No coffee facilities in the room. Very good breakfast, but some warm meals would be welcomed.

This is a very nice place which is actually nicer than it looks on the pictures. The rooms are comfy and relatively large. I also greatly enjoyed sitting at the breakfast every morning. The location is also very central with many restaurants nearby.

Rooms are very small. There is not even a telephone in the room, so if you need something or something is not right, you have dress and go down to speak to the concerned person. There is not even a water bottle or even a simple small coffee machine in the room.
Staff was EXCELLENT and very understanding and cooperative

- One very incompetent and rude receptionist (a young tall blond man) - The room was too minimalistic to my taste - e.g. no wardrobe just open space with bars and hangers - Very small bathroom
Very good location, next to city centre. The personell was very nice except one person at the reception (a young tall blond man who was incompetent and very rude). The room is very functional. The bed was good with good pillows. The breakfast was very good, though not exceptional. It provided all you need. I also like that you could decide if you wanted to have cleaning or not.

Location was great and the bikes that we could rent were very helpful for getting around, if a bit heavy. Staff were very helpful and the room was comfortable, if quite compact. The thing I really enjoyed was having a drink in the evening and relaxing on the sofas - the area by the reception downstairs is very comfortable with nice sofas, chairs, carpets, tables and a big TV in the meeting room (complementary, I think).

No available parking as advertised. There was a public alternative close by. But as the Germans don’t believe in card payment, I had to beg someone for 2 euro to pay the parking with cash.
They have everything you need for an overnight stay. Oddly though, for a motel it was weird that they had no parking spaces. Apparently you needed to reserve this. No reminder from either booking nor motel one was given.

As a disclaimer, I rated the hotel 9 because everything was perfect during our stay and I really have nothing to complain about - the bed was extremely comfortable, the room was super clean, the lobby was very modern, location was central (a tram and bus stop was just across the street) and the breakfast was excellent. But I just started to notice a smell on the carpets as soon as you go through the hallway where the rooms are, which is pretty common with carpeted hotels. As I said in my disclaimer, other than that tiny thing, I had an excellent stay and will definitely come back.
It’s modern, great lobby, amazing breakfast, great and friendly staff.

Great location. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Delicious and healthy breakfast. Comfortable accommodation and good parking space facilities at the hotel premises. Excellent service.
