Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing in particular.
Room was nice and clean, beds comfortable and we slept well. The location next to the green park was great. We could easily walk into the centre in about 15 min or so but I preferred to be outside in the green park area. We had dinner at the hotel which was really good. I had a really nice and fresh salad.

NetherlandsThe restaurant is understaffed. In spite of their hard work I waited a long time for my food en at least 20 mins for the bill. The watercooker in the room was rusty on the inside. I quickly got a new one.
Loved the location near the Aa-See. Easily accessible by car and there is a free parking place just before you get to the hotel (hotel's own carpark is paid). The restaurant has a good menu and staff is friendly

United KingdomBreakfast arrangements are the most ridiculous I have ever come across in decades of international travel around the world and a complete joke for a supposedly upmarket hotel. It started on entering the breakfast room when the officious "welcomer" at the desk said if we did not want the full breakfast then we had to go to reception and pay in advance which considering we did not know whether we wanted a la carte or continental was difficult since we had not seen the menu and did not know what was available. When we said maybe a la carte we were at least allowed in . If you choose continental breakfast as I then did it seems you have to , in advance ,specify or point out which piece of cheese , which piece of meat and precisely which 2 bread rolls you want instead of selecting it yourself and the servers seem protective of you going up to the buffet as if you are going to illegally acquire an extra bread roll or steal a piece of meat . How do you know what the cold meat or cheese available to tell them in advance without seeing it.. I found the whole process absurd and for the price of the continental breakfast I did not expect such a joke of a system . As guest staying at a supposedly upmarket hotel you feel like you may break the rules and have one piece of bread or cheese outside of whatever are the parameters is ridiculous. If you select a continental breakfast you should be able to go to the buffet and select what you want as in every other hotel I have ever stayed in. Change the system .
Rooms were comfortable and front desk very helpful.

United KingdomThat one of the waiters (blonde with heavy eyeliner) was quite abrupt asking me to remove my dog’s bowl, which was clean with a tin of dogfood in it onto the floor. She was quite irritated and as I didn’t understand her demand in German, she became rather irritated. She looked stressed and did not show a welcoming manner towards the facts that dogs were allowed in the restaurant. The bedroom was too hot even when I turned the heating off. There could have been better gluten-free bread options. The juices were too watered down. Freshly squeezed orange would have been more delicious.
Lovely room and facilities. Almost all staff was really kind, pleasant and friendly. When my friend collapsed in the bar,the barman quickly arranged for paramedics to arrive and take my friend to hospital. He was very helpful and super attentive. Also, the female receptionist spoke perfect English and could direct where to walk the dog. Throughout the stay I felt welcome with the dog. The breakfast was delicious, especially the freshly made omelets.

SingaporeWe asked for room next to each other, upon check in the staff told us that our rooms are next to each other (even have connecting door). This turned out not to be the case. We had dinner at the restaurant and the glass used to serve us water smelled quite bad (all four glasses). Would not recommend the restaurant whose staffs appeared very busy although the restaurant was pretty empty when we dined in (around 5.30 PM).
Located at the quiet part of the city. We drive so do not have any problem commuting to the city centre with our car.

United StatesThe cost was too high not justifying the experience. The architecture is not very appealing, the hotel feels impersonal. The building is not located close to the town center. I had a room on the 5th floor, and only one of the 2 elevators was reaching this floor. I had quite a waiting time on the day of my arrival. The bed had no bedside tables, only space above the headboard, which I did not find to be not very practical. The bathroom is not very well designed, the area next to the sink is very low for placement of items, the other areas are very small cubbies to the right and left of the sink with not much room for necessities. Leaving the room I was surprised by the poor air quailing in the hallway. Though the breakfast spread was broad and mostly satisfying, the scrambled eggs and Rösti potatoes were not tasty. The orange juice terrible: instead of refilling the carafe with orange juice, there was an automated system in place which kept simply adding water. Not the quality I would have expected from Mövenpick.
The room had everything needed, and was of good size. The staff was well trained and most were quite friendly. There is a nice protected sitting area outside, which we enjoyed in good weather. The dinner and dessert (ice cream) we had there was good!

NetherlandsBy far the most annoying inconvenience is that the WiFi is very bad. It disconnects very often, and even if you have a connection, it's quite slow. While in other ways this is a plus, the hotel's location is more remote, so if you want to do anything you'll have to take a 30 minute walk to the city centre. (There are scooters available for rent in the area as well. I don't know if the hotel itself rents out bikes; this would have been nice.) The fridge in my room wouldn't turn on. The ventilation in the shower area isn't very strong, which I ended up remedying by opening the bathroom door and the room's window in the morning to let everything ventilate after showering. Additionally, the bathroom is a little bit on the small side (especially compared to how spacious the room is overall), but this is a very minor thing.
The room was very nice and spacious. It had most things you would desire, including airconditioning and a safe for your valuable items. There was a small fridge there was well, but I couldn't get it to turn on (perhaps this is something you have to request and pay extra for; I did not ask about this). Every day I would get a free 0.5 litre bottle of (sparkling) water after a room cleanup. You get a lot of towels too. The breakfast had lots of variety. The curtains are decent at blocking light, but not the very best. The surrounding area of the hotel is nice and quiet, being a little more on the edge of the city, adding to the quiet environment. Although I did not use it, there is also a sauna and a fitness area. Especially considering the price I paid for my stay, this hotel is fantastic value for money!
