    A deeply uncomfortable and disappointing stay due to inadequate heating and persistent rodent noise,

    I had an extremely disappointing experience with my recent booking. The apartment I reserved was completely unsuitable for a comfortable stay. The heating was inadequate, making the place uncomfortably cold. However, the worst issue was the noise from rodents in the attic, which made it impossible to get any rest. I had to leave the rental property just four hours after check-in due to unacceptable conditions, forcing me to find alternative accommodation at the last minute, which was both stressful and costly. To make matters worse, neither the property owner nor Booking.com provided a proper resolution or assistance to address the situation. The owner responded: Thank you for your message, and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. I completely understand how uncomfortable it must have been with the heating and the disturbance from the rodents. Please accept my apologies for these issues. Regarding the heating, I would like to mention that if you had reached out directly, we would have been more than happy to adjust the settings for you to ensure a more comfortable environment. To address the situation, I would like to offer you a refund of €70 as a gesture of goodwill, and I hope this helps to resolve some of the inconvenience caused. Once again, I truly regret that your stay did not meet your expectations, and I appreciate your feedback, which will help us The accommodation is above the garage, at the back of the yard, with access via a side alley of the house through the grass, which looks unkempt and has no sidewalk. My recommendation is not to pay in advance for this property, or if you do, use a payment method with insurance. I expected better quality control and support from Booking.com, but unfortunately, this experience has left me questioning whether I can trust their listings in the future. I would not recommend booking this property, and I strongly urge Booking.com to take complaints like this more seriously.
