How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

Noisy street (not a surprise due to the situation, busy night life to say the least). Nice shower in the room but lacks intimacy (partially transparent glass door)
Convenient/economical room for a family. Well located to visit St Pauli.

It is not in the best location to come with the family.
The room was really comfortable. Although we were concerned about the shared bathroom at first, it was really clean.

The stairs were really steep so difficult to navigate with luggage. The family room had space for 6 beds but little else so felt really cramped.
It was a good central location right in the middle of the red light district (so maybe not everyone’s ideal location but it was ok for us). The staff were really friendly. Great value for money.

The hotel is on top of a night club. If you get a first floor room, your bed will literally vibrate because of the music from the night floor, and this until late (3 am or so)
Good quality-price ratio. Excellent location, in the middle of the main party street of the city Reeperbahn, close both to a large parking and to a metro station. Nicely furnished rooms and friendly staff.

There was no instruction about the wifi that i can use

Have to climb stairs. No lift. I wasn't informed about the tourist tax of upto 2€. Good to have it mentioned on booking.com

the photo of the room did not match what they give. Th picture was 2 bed size but my room (39) was 1 bed size. the description of building is not enough, there is not elevator and my room was on 6th floor very hard to climb. to be honest disappointed.

Staff got quite confrontational when we took the beers that we were told were free (1 each per day) even after we explained we were guests. We misunderstood that we had to show our cards when taking them

Yes, location is central, yet we have not made our homework and do not understood what St.Pauli/Reeperbahn area is about. Technically its Las Vegas every night/whole night :)

I didn’t heard any noise when I closed the window but in early morning door closing noises coming from the other rooms. If you have heavy luggage you have to consider the stairs before booking
For short staying the room was fine and clean, private bathroom is definitely an advantage.

The bathroom is literally inside the room (the sink is among the beds), and the toilet and the shower are little niches (with door). So the level of privacy and the available space to move around and to change yourself is quite limited.
Very central location, just above the bars and the pubs of the Reeperbahn street, and 5 mins walking from the St Pauli Piers. Close to Sbahn and Ubahn. The hostel is clean and well organised.

The hostel is located on a very lively and thus noisy street. There are bars and pubs right under some of the windows. The hostel addresses this with free earplugs in the rooms, which was nice.

There wasn’t much space in the room apart from the beds.
It‘s located close to the city center, which is good, but it’s directly at the Reeperbahn, which is something to consider. The staff were very nice and it was clean. The beds were comfortable.

Didn't expect how loud it was because of the street outside. Didn't understand from reviews but still great that they offered ear plugs and then everything was good.
The breakfast was amazing. For hotel the scrambled eggs and vegetables were fantastic. The rest about breakfast was also great. That it was close to the centre.
