How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room was a good size with 2 comfy chairs , coffee table and fridge. Nice balcony to relax on in fresh air. Parking spaces were on site but seemed enough for everyone. On first look inside the hotel has a dated feel but the room had been revamped and was very nice. Would happily stay again.

A little rundown, our family room had one room with windows to the second, which was a little strange. The railroad passes right by the hotel, but we heard it maybe twice, didn't really bother us.
Beautiful location, near a stream and amazing view of the mountains above. Shower and bathroom are brand new, huge and spotless

Near to railway track. Breakfast was basic.

The bathroom smelt of mould and was tiny.
The room was huge and the balcony had a great view of the Zugspitze. Good breakfast. Excellently situated near Eibsee which is a magical place.

-although the rooms are ready, they charge you an extra 20€ for “early check” if you show up before 16:00… Other hotels either let you in, i.e. for free, if the rooms are ready or ask you to come up later and offer you a safe place to store your luggage… -for storage of our luggage in the meantime we got offered a corridor close to the main entrance and a “we don’t take liability for the items left here”… Welcome to Greinau. In 2 words “Never again”

The hotel would need a bit of maintenance/renovation. The ceiling paint in the bathroom is starting to come off, as well as the floor on the balcony. The room layout is odd, with a large loft for the bedroom with only a small window, making the bedroom a bit too warm.
They let us keep the car parked until 4pm the next day. The breakfast lady was very friendly and gave us some fruits to take away. The location is a good starting point for a number of hikes. The room and the bathroom are spacious and there is a bidet.

Our room was directly above the entrance to the hotel and the light from the front door shone in our window all night. Perhaps some heavier curtains would help block the light.

The rooms generally felt a little dated and scruffy, but the mattresses were comfortable and for a place to sleep in between skiing days it was absolutely fine.
The hotel suited us perfectly for a short stay. We had a 2-bed apartment, which was perfect for a family with young children. The beds were comfortable, the staff helpful and the breakfast was good. Our room was very close to the train line, but there were no trains during the night, so this wasn't a problem.

That was comfortable stay for one night with beautiful view from all rooms on Alpspitze or forest. Fresh renovated bathroom in appartment, comfortable beds, fridge and kettle in the room. Good location, few minutes walk to restaurant or grocery store. 10 minutes ride to Garmisch or Eibsee. Very nice and wellcoming girl on reseption.

There is no elevator where you need to hold the luggage to the upstairs.
Friendly staff, the facility is nice. The property is located in a nice location close to the town. the room is quite clean and big. Plenty of storage.

Our stay had two rooms and only one of them had the room heater in it.
Decent location for exploring Eibsee - Zugspitze - Füssen. The view from the balcony is to die for. The hotel has an elevator as well which was quite helpful to get to our room on the second floor. The lady at the reception was very sweet and helpful
