Everything was very good.

The location of the hotel was excellent, right in the heart of the beautiful old town and just minutes' walk from all the main attractions. Also close enough to walk from the station. Our rooms (in the annexe) were a good size and comfortable - the small balcony on the double room a nice bonus. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We decided to take breakfast on arrival and the buffet provided was very good.

Not wild about the frosted glass door to the bathroom but the pros far outweigh that con.

Location, cleanliness. Hotel is 50 steps from the parking garage, in a lovely quiet side street, but in the heart of Freiburg. Will definitely return. Friendly staff.

No air conditioning. That can be quite tricky in Freiburg in the summer. My room (in the separate guesthouse) faced Konviktstrasse. As sleeping with the window closed was not an option, I “suffered” a lot with late night revellers and early morning road sweepers and delivery vans underneath my window.

Well-located hotel in Altstadt and easy walking distance from the train station. The desk clerk was super nice and inviting and gave us some tips for places to go in the area. It is located on a quiet pedestrian street near the hillside park.

The bed was too soft and quite small for me. I stayed in the business lodgings, which are not in the main house, and do feel like an entirely different experience than the original.

The location in the old town and the friendly service at the desk. I felt quite welcomed.

There can be some noise if the window is open (though I’m deaf in one ear so I roll over and no problem!)

The location in Alt Stadt and just metres from one access to Schlossberg and just around the corner from the tram was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a small problem with the bathroom and it was attended to immediately. While it is a historic structure, there were plentiful outlets to recharge electronics. The room had obviously been remodeled not long ago and is very nice and comfortable.

The bathroom was badly designed. Basin on low spread water on the benchtop. The toilet space was tight for me (I am slim). A heavier person would have troubles using it. The only shower head could be turned to allow for water to normally (centrally) fall the person. And it sprayed water on to the floor, even when being careful.

Location was fantastic near in the old town area. Lots of restaurants nearby. Everything within walking distance. And the rail cars are everywhere, so it’s extremely convenient to hop on and off around the city.

Not good for light sleepers. If you are a light sleeper this place is not for you. The building is historic and the walls are thin. You can hear pipes, creaking, water running, occupants in the room above you and activities in the street below.

There is no coffee in the room - but you can get it in the breakfast room at no charge.

The location was perfect! There is a parking garage located right next to the hotel which is super convenient! Rooms were exactly what we needed and expected for the price.
