Immaculate and clean modern hotel. Rooms are bigger than your typical hotel. Nice friendly staff.

Rooms maybe need a little updating but can see this in a work in progress.

Cooperating staff, spacious hotel, small but nice swimming pool, within walking distance from city centre with good restaurants. Breakfast was above average. Dinning facility is not great but thanks to the sunny weather we could sit outside.

The room was a bit dated but certainly doable. The gym doesn’t deserve to be called a gym. A proper workout is not possible.

Great breakfast, nice to have the swimming pool, short walk into lovely picturesque busy town with cafes and bars, plenty of nearby cycle routes, easy parking, friendly staff and restaurant was nice and lively. Was a bit concerned about the location at first as it is opposite a DIY store but it didn't matter at all, the hotel was lovely and just a 10 min walk away over the river was the town. A great stay.

The staff was nice and helpful. The room was clean and decent sized. The bathroom was the best and had Rituals wash gel and body lotion which was great! Breakfast was decent.

The location of the hotel was not great, it lacked charm; you wouldn’t know it from the hotel pics. The restaurant lacked both quality and variety.

The facilities were very good. The room was extremely spacious. Given free train tickets when we checked in.

Spacious rooms. Quiet hotel. Lovely location - 5 mins walk from the train station and into the town. The swimming pool was great. The breakfast buffet was good - it had a good range of foods to choose from. All the staff were friendly. We travelled with our 3 year old - she had a separate bed and there was also a little playground next to the hotel.

Excellent location. All the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. Rooms were lovely, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The restaurant ambience was nice, and the breakfast choices and quality were great! There are many spacious parking spots in the hotel, and they have an electric charging facility as well for the cars.

Property was very nice and clean. Great location. Staff was very friendly. Beds were comfortable. I enjoyed the little deck we had for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening. Breakfast choices were good.

Location is a bit odd....a bit like on an industrial estate but a very short walk into the lovely old town.

The location is perfect, and so was the warm welcome. We loved the wellness facilities, nice to get into the sauna after a long walk.

Especially my son did not like the wifi on the room, not fast enough ;)

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast selection was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh options each morning. The hotel also has a great location for discovering the Black Forest, making it a perfect base for day trips and exploring the region.

The only small issue we had was that the beer was served a bit warm at first, but thankfully, the great waiter quickly sorted it out and we ended up with a perfectly chilled one. Excellent service made all the difference!

Clean room and facilities AC was working well and it was a good time

Very nice hotel situated within a short walking distance from the town. We had a Comfort double room which had air-conditioning which was quiet and very effective. No sound heard from adjacent rooms or nearby road. Two pillows provided per person which was useful. Meal in the restaurant was also good. Good carpark next to the hotel.

Possibly a coffee machine in the reception area or in the room would have made our stay even better.

The hotel is a perfect wellness retreat in Gengenbach, given the room rates and the location. A Konus card is given at check-in so that you can visit almost anywhere in the black forest using public transport. There are saunas including a Finnish sauna and a steam room and a swimming pool. The breakfast is very good. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful.

The hotel is built around a narrow courtyard that most rooms face. This means that you will hear everything especially when you are used to sleeping with your windows open: guests arriving late, groups of adults coming back from a pub tour and saying good-bye to each other for half an hour, youngsters hanging out until 2:00 at night, someone having a rather long and loud chat at 6:45 with another guest on a balcony on the second floor, the lady wiping all the chairs in the courtyard at 7:00 in the morning and scratching them across the concrete ground. There is an air condition so it is generally possible to shut the windows at night. Not my idea of a hotel in the countryside though. I'd rather breathe fresh air.

Dogs are not allowed into the restaurant for breakfast, but breakfast can be taken in the bar area next door with your dog.

Excellent breakfast, helpful staff and spotlessly clean rooms. Would definitely like to return to this hotel.
