Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyOn hotter days it can ba uncomfortable to sleep. Opening the window helps but you’ll hear the noise from car traffic
Cheap, location is a few mins walk + U-bahn to central locations like Marienplatz, Sendlinger Tor and Hauptbahnhof.

United KingdomA bit of a walk from the station, not ideal if you have large bags. A bit pricey for a room with a shared bathroom, but this is Munich. Sound proofing inside could be better. No reception so might be tricky getting any tourist advice.
Nice warm and comfortable room and easy to do self check-in. Free coffee at local cafe offered (though it was closed early morning). A good spot to get your head down.

United StatesThere’s no A/C or fan which I thought there would be at least a fan. It had an odd smell as well. We had to sleep with the windows open most nights because it got too hot. The shower was oddly on a step with no cover and the whole floor would get wet if there was no towel down but it would still get soaking wet. Felt like we definitely overpaid for this stay.
Overall a good location. Quiet. A quick 12-15 train ride to the city center.

United StatesHad a little trouble checking in with the machine for self check in not working, however we got on the phone with staff and they helped us by manually sending us the room keys.
The place was great for the price, especially during Oktoberfest. For the higher maintenance guest I would advise against staying here as it is a private room with a shared bathroom, however if you are okay with that definitely stay here.

NetherlandsThe room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. No matter how long I left the window open, this smell would not disappear. There is a space underneath the bed meant for storing your suitcase, but it was full of cobwebs, suggesting it hadn't been cleaned in several weeks. The windowsill was also dirty, containing stains an crumbs.
Check in is easy and it is easy to reach.

SpainThe ventilator in the bathroom living it's own life switching in with the light I guess but off in like at least 30 mins or more on its own being rather loud even with the closed door. The light in the bathroom is very weak. But the main thing is one of the walls of the room is a huge window facing sunny side (could be good in winter, but it was heating the room in summer and there is no ventilator or AC. Wasn't expecting AC, but wasn't expecting such window). Besides - the window is not just a window, it leads to the publicly accessible balcony that is used for smoking (accessible by not only everyone in the building but anyone from the street can possibly enter as there is no lock on the entrance door) right by the room door. That leads to a very mild but still a cigarette smell, to feeling insecure not only by being separated with a huge glass from anyone but also that I couldn't open any of the windows to get some air (reminding you - there is no ventilator or AC) even open the curtains to get the light in. It was quiet though and I think nobody was there through the night but I was not feeling very secure especially staying alone. Also the door was a little tricky to be fully closed, like you need to close it and then push it really hard to hear the click hoping that that it's locked cause I couldn't move the lock inside. Location is quite far away from the center, but the connection is good. Other that that everything is quite decent.
I had room 4, with private bathroom. The good surprise was that the bed is way bigger I expected, could be very decent for 2, 2 sets of towels & blankets and pillows. Hairdryer also (wasn't sure there will be one). Decently clean and quiet. Lidl and DM 3-5 mins away, 2 metro stations.

IndonesiaThe room has no fan. It will be hot during summer days, otherwise, try to sleep with an open window. The room lights will flicker when you charge your electronic devices at the same time.
There is plenty of room for a shower and toilet. One shower room & toilet are for two occupants.

NetherlandsUnfortunately, there were some downsides to my stay. The internet connection was unreliable [or "didn't work well"]. If you're assigned a room on the front side of the building, it can get quite hot as there's no air conditioning or fans available. The curtains also don't fully block out the window, which can be bothersome due to traffic noise early in the morning, the sun, and the light from the crane right in front of you. I would recommend requesting a room on the backside for a quieter and cooler experience. Room NR4 is the worst, i have stayed in there for one time it was so hot, I had the feeling I would faint. This is the hottest room ( during the summer time) within this accommodation, it is only made for those who come from tropical countries. Additionally, the pillows weren't very comfortable. If you have a preference for a certain type of pillow, you might want to bring your own. For summer stays, a portable fan would be a helpful.
Spotlessly clean and conveniently located, this accommodation is ideal for travelers seeking easy access to Munich. The S7 tram whisks you directly to Harras station from the main train station. From there it is just a few minutes walk away to the accommodation. What truly impressed me was the friendly cleaning staff. Their attentiveness went a long way in making my stay comfortable. I would recommande everyone to leave a small tip (if you can) when you check out for the cleaning staff. Just leave it in the room. For those who enjoy exploring independently, there's a supermarket nearby for groceries and a variety of cozy restaurants within walking distance. This allows you to experience the local scene and grab a bite whenever you please. Oh there is also a really good and nice icecream salon nearby. Overall, this place offers an excellent combination of convenience, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended, especially for budget-conscious travelers!

United Kingdom4th floor, no elevator. But - good for your knees I suppose.
Check in was automatic via a machine on the 4th floor. The number given on booking.com always had someone answer the phone - to check out, you just leave the room key on the side table. To check in you input details on the machine and it spits your card out. Easy. Einfach in Deutsch :-) Very small room but for one person travelling alone perfect - wouldn't say good for a couple. Simple. Shared bathroom wasn't a problem because my hearing returned so I could hear when it was free, and it was just outside the room. I would consider staying again in a similar circumstance.

GermanyI was asked to leave the room a little before 11 am. It would have been nice to have been asked nicely instead of being expected to by the cleaning man. He had to get the rooms ready for the next guests, which I completely understand, however I did not like his attitude. The lock to the room was not trustworthy for me which made me feel a little unsafe as a solo woman.
I was very happy about the availability since I booked with very short notice. The room was clean and totally fine.
