Perfect room for our family of 4. Also a big morning buffet with loads of different foods to fit any needs.

Too many of the people working here didn't speak english or they spoke very little english.

Location and breakfast were the only saving grace for our stay.

There were barely any amenities for a 4 star hotel. There was no in- room kettle, coffee or Tee. There were no toiletries except a handwash and a shower gel. No moisturizer or shampoo. For over a 150 euros per night there was no regular room cleaning unless requested one day prior. The bed was super uncomfortable and for a couple weeks had two single beds joined together. We woke up with new body aches every morning. Don’t expect an early check in at all even though we had informed of our arrival and requested an early check in a week prior to our arrival. They just expected us to sit at reception untill 4pm and keep checking with them if we could check in every hour. We weren’t allowed to sit at a table of our choice for breakfast.

The room, food, location. Its a nice relaxed base to explore the local area. The buffet meals have sufficient variety to give you choices. The room was clean and well stocked on arrival. Staff helpful and responsive. Have stayed before and would again.

The common trend to not service the room without asking at reception. Have a card to ask for it to be serviced or not to hang on the door but raising the bar to be discouraging is all too common. Not really a fault but an all to frequent irritation.

I‘ve stayed here numerous times over the years, and the standard never slips ,it’s got a great location just outfoxed the main pedestrian zone but close enough to the railway station and the Schmalspurbahnen. I only did breakfast this time but there’s always a great selection of hot and cold food. Room was was clean and after walking around in the Harz all day the fact that the room had a bath was really appreciated.

It is nicely located close to the town centre. Big rooms. Clean.

Breakfast was chaos. There is huge throng of people and a lack of clean tables or large tables reserved for groups not using them. More two people tables are required or perhaps a time booking scheme. Children in the wellness area. There is a lot of noise lack of towels and serenity. Perhaps an over 16 policy like most others. No tea or coffee in the rooms.

My family really enjoyed the stay in this hotel. Modern, clean and comfortable, with amazing view from our window to the city and castle. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast. Central location. City parking right next to the hotel. Special thanks for the baby bed, although it was not supposed to be offered. I highly recommend.

The shower was the best from what I've experienced in my life. The breakfast was also very diverse and tasty. Checking in and out was a quick and nice process.

Location was quiet. Walking distance to Hbf, steam train to Brocken, and city centre. The reception staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpfull.

Alles gut.
