Friendliness of the staff. Location, and cleanliness.

Pillows were awful. Too soft with no body to them. Also absence of shampoo and conditioner and wash cloths in the bathroom are not typical for US facilities.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Since there was no refrigerator in the room, and since it was an exceptionally warm night, they allowed me to use the bar's refrigerator in the basement. Superb pillows and duvets on the bed!

I specifically booked this hotel because of the pool and sauna. But, both were out of commission. A discount on the room rate would have seemed in order. We were given a basement room. The basement is dark and feels damp. Outdated light fixtures throughout. Low ceilings. TV isn't connected for streaming. (Had to use my laptop to watch non-german shows.). Extremely steep parking lot. Don't use unless you have a high ground clearance vehicle.

Pool, sauna, personel, location..

My bed was a bit too soft for me (mattress) but it could be only me.. i slept there well anyways.

The hotel has a unique style from few years back. I would guess 60ies our 70ies. Since then not much renovation happened (but don't worry, WiFi exists, but also some a bit less modern services, like help with phone calls out of the city). So it's the opposite to the new modern style hotels. You'll either like it or hate it. It's up to you.

I liked it and booked it again for my next stay.

It was a great experience and the staff was very kind and professional. The location is exceptional, a quiet neighborhood and a big forest right in front of the facility. Just 10 minutes on train to get to the main station.

I think, it would be perfect if they work on improving the facilities to isolate the outside noise from the bedrooms. Sometimes I was able to hear some of the phone conversations the guest of the next room was having.

5mins walking to subway, only need 40mins to Messe. That is really nice.
