Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandMosquitoes, not much kitchenware (minimum frying pan and casserole), no microwave, no dishwasher (too bad to wash the pan, quite a frequent need), low water pressure in shower, strange WiFi (lots of routers/nets, most without internet at the moment, have to figure out which to use each time), pillows are too thin.
Central location, kitchen (fridge, stove, dishes, kettle), park nearby, spacious room. Good feedback.

AustraliaWe initially booked for 4 nights to pay at the hotel. We didn't choose to pay this way, it was just the way the booking came through.. because of track works we discovered 2 days before that we couldn't make our intended start date for the booking. We requested to change to 3 nights. The response was to charge the total amount for 4 nights to our card. Staff were rude when we called. Booking.com staff said that they didn't understand why we had been charged. Business said it was their policy to charge 2 days before. This was not our contract and it was in the morning, so outside of 48 hours. We managed to get there by very complicated means and then could not find the place as there was no hotel by this name.it uses a different name. Once in, the place was fine and staff we encountered were nice. Come on booking.com, your standards have dropped.
The unit was comfortable and the location was great, right outside was a tram line.

EstoniaThe kitchen could at least have a spatula. The pillows were too thin and soft for our taste.
The hotel is in good location, you can reach any place by bus or tram. The grocerys are just across the street. Very quiet also. Almost everything you need, was there, but nothing too luxurious. Actually, there was nothing wrong with it.

The location is excellent — just a 9-minute walk from Berlin Central Station. There's a supermarket conveniently located right across the street. The woman at reception was very friendly and extremely helpful.

AustraliaWe were a little confused as the sign on the street had a different name to the one on our booking, and the entrance didn’t make us feel we had arrived in the correct place. But once we found the check in on the second floor we were fine.
Great central location and excellent value for money. The room was large, clean and comfortable. We were on the 4th floor and once we realised there was a lift if was much easier!

FinlandThe hallway might be a bit shady and hotel's name was different than in the booking but after getting over with the surprise the stay was pleasant. I recommend earplugs as he road is rather busy with ambulances passing by.
The king size bed was really comfortable, room was spacious, and my towels were changed daily. The location wasn't too far from main railwaystation and there was Aldi nearby. I got a room with 4 bed and kitchen, so I had loads of room. For the cheap price, the room was really great.

United KingdomConfusion with the room we booked, not sure if the issue was with booking.com or hotel. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment, but on arrival we were told we hadn't, but receptionist gave us a 2 bedroom apartment regardless This apartment looked nothing like the picture of the room shown on our booking and it could've done with updating 20yrs ago! It didn't spoil our stay and the room was clean, just not what we were expecting.
Location was good for our needs and the lady on reception was helpful

United StatesWe stayed in one of the apartments, which has 2 rooms, 5 beds, 2 private baths, and a kitchenette. We liked the old architecture with tall ceilings, original double windows, and a grand old staircase. However, it has a distinct non-modern feel, and that might not work for some people. It's also a bit confusing at first because the sign on the street says 'Central Inn', and you have to know that reception is on the 2nd floor - look for a tiny elevator. Cleanliness and comfort are adequate I'd say. Very convenient location: the main train station is two tram stops on the M10 tram, which stops right in front of the hotel, or a short 10 min. walk. There's a pub next door and a restaurant one block over, a bakery (the super friendly Bellevue Baeckerei) 5 min. away, more eateries within a 10 minute walk westward on Alt Moabit, and a very lively shopping area with lots of eateries, including the Arminius Markthalle, on Turmstrasse, which is 3-4 stops on the M10 tram going away from the station. There's also a discount supermarket right across the street, which is very convenient.

United Kingdomthe kitchenette could have been better.
Good location with a good view. There is a shop and a tram stop across the hotel that comes in very handy. Everything was very dated but clean. The carpet, beds and other furnishing was probably from the 90's. If you are after that kind of thing then its a good place to stay. The receptionists were very nice and tried their best where they could and gave extra towels etc when needed. The Kitchenette was very poor but better than nothing. The best bit was that there are two toilets and two showers. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Cheap for Berlin but Berlin accommodation is very expensive.

United KingdomVery small elevator, and a lot of stairs otherwise. No real complaints, it’s a serviceable hotel with comfortable beds and a good location.
Very easy to get to the train station, either walking (15 mins) or on the tram which is right outside the hotel. We initially had a small and pretty claustrophobic room for the 4 of us, but I had upgraded to a 5-bed room before arriving so after a discussion, we were moved to a much better room (2 connecting actually) which was satisfactory for our group. The reception staff were always helpful and tried to help us with directions around Berlin. No breakfast room, but the restaurant next door was convenient if you wanted it, however I can’t comment as we didn’t go there. It’s around a 20 minute walk to the Brandenburg gate and Berlin landmarks.

ItalyThe apartment assigned to us is two bedroom apartment, but the second bedroom was located in living room with the kitchen and dining table, unexpected. Two burner electric stove can not be used at the same time or else electric power will shut down. Good for short stay. The place named Central Inn Hotel not as posted on booking com. Poor internet.
Walking distance to Berlin Main Station including tram and buses. The silence in the place, everybody can relax. Recommended per tourist. The lady owner is kind and approachable.

United KingdomAbove a road that could be noisy at night - but good double glazing, so it wasn’t so bad. Worst part is that although it is called <<Ark am Hauptbahnhof>>, in fact the sign above the door said it was <<Central Inn>>. We missed that sign and wasted 20 minutes trying to find the place. I suggest some changes!
Useful location 5 minutes walk from Hauptbahnhof. Old School/Old Style (c.1895) Berlin apartment feel complete with original parquet wood tile floors. Sensible price. Plenty of space. Our apartment had a balcony.
