The owner was super kind and very welcoming! The location is great, very nice view and terrace next to the river. The room was big and comfortable. Coming back when I'm in the area!

Michael was a lovely owner and really kind. I would recommend this hotel for sure. I was bikepacking through the Black Forest and stopped here for a night. Comfortable beds, clean shower. Michael let me store my bike securely. The hotel is situated in the middle of Schiltach, a perfect and beautiful location. Next to a bakery and grocery store.

Ideal location! Great experience! Absolutely wonderful house with perfect owner. We really enjoyed our one night stay there. Thank you Michael for your hospitality

The building, situated along the river of the charming city of Schiltach, has an "old guesthouse" vibe, but is clean and cosy. The owner was very kind and helpful, even though we booked last minute and stayed only one night!

Michael was very welcoming, had somewhere safe for us to leave our bikes and even let me use the coffee machine in the morning - much appreciated :) PS Schiltach is a very pretty little town - definitely worth a visit!

It is time to update the towels - they have seen better days!

A lovely quiet room overlooking the little bubbling river in one of the prettiest little towns we've ever seen. Most people in this town spoke little to no English, but everybody was very friendly and helpful! Michael, the owner, is a very friendly, enthusiastic man. His joy made our stay even more memorable. And what a delicious dinner!

We stumbled across this village after leaving our last accommodation early. Michael was a lovely host. Very welcoming and his accommodation was homely. It was nice to have a delicious home-cooked meal after weeks of cafes and restaurants.

The room was very spacious, and the location hard to beat. The owner was very friendly and welcoming.

Everything was clean and fresh, but sometimes a little worn at the edges. But I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

The property was beautiful at an ideal location. Michael was an absolutely incredible host - best we’ve ever had! He was always happy to go out of his way to make our stay special. He was great to chat to, checked in with us each day, while also giving us space. The Black Forest around Schiltach is all beautiful, so much so that we got engaged here! We strongly recommend staying here!

A little tired but Michael more than made up for it

Michael was very hospitable and a joy to talk with. This place to stay was right at the heart of the little town. One step outside you were by the water and all the small shops and restaurants. The service was great as was the food.
