How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery good location, close to metro, Tivoli and Radhaus. Lobby was very stylish, breakfast delicous. Free cofee, filteted water and happy hour is a plus star. Motivation to use the staircase instead of the small elevator was also a big geg. :) I truelly love the atmosphere of the hotel.
Room was a little bit small for 4 person but it is ok. Breakfast room (lobby) was crowded between 9-10. Also the neighborhood is pretty noisy by night ,but thats because of the central location.

Verified reviewAn exceptionally friendly hotel. The hotel has an incredibly kind and trusting attitude toward its guests. At breakfast, no one checks whether the guest has paid. There is no bartender at the bar — guests serve themselves and simply write down what they’ve taken on a piece of paper. On the staircase, there’s a large box of cookies on every floor, and guests are free to take as many as they like. This kind of approach makes guests feel truly great.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you found our hotel exceptionally friendly and that our approach made you feel welcome. We strive to create a trusting environment for our guests, and it’s fantastic to know that our Honesty Bar and Concept Green cookies contributed positively to your experience. Verified reviewI liked the breakfast, the courtesy coffee and water during the day and the environmental ethos of the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and positive.
The only thing which I would have liked is slightly bigger room but the bed was very comfortable (and large!) so it would have been nice to have a little more space and not be right against the wall.

Verified reviewThis hotel is conveniently located to the train station.
For a rather expensive hotel for Cophenhagen, the rooms are TINY. We got the largest room that was not a suite. It was not possible to have both of our suitcases open at the same time. We had to step around each other, our small amount of stuff, and the furniture very carefully. Breakfast is chaotic, over-packed with people, in too small a space, and you end up waiting forever for simple things like coffee. If they are going to have this many guests, they should stage breakfast, with guests coming in shifts. Otherwise it is chaotic and frustrating.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding your recent stay with us. We appreciate your positive remarks about our convenient location. We regret to hear that the room size did not meet your expectations. We understand that space can be a concern, particularly in a central location like Copenhagen. We also acknowledge your feedback, your insights are invaluable as we continue to seek ways to improve our services. Thank you once again for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Best regards, Andersen Hotel

Verified reviewWe were two couples travelling together and each spent 4 nights in a standard size room. The hotel was only a short walk away from the central train station. I requested and received detailed instructions how to find the hotel. Fortunately, our rooms were ready when we arrived around noon, which was appreciated after an overnight flight from Canada. After dropping off our bags and freshening up a bit, we hit the street to explore, only returning in time to enjoy a free glass of wine at Happy hour. Happy hour is held every day from 5 – 6pm and gives one the opportunity to not only enjoy a free glass of wine, but to also meet other guests. As mentioned by other posts, rooms are on the small size, but well appointed. Think of a cruise cabin size. Even though well located on a busy corner, our sleeps were tranquil. Our room had a safe, kettle and mini fridge. We took the option of participating in their green program, which meant that our room was not serviced each day. We received in return a 100 kr voucher to buy drinks over the road at the Absalon Hotel (their sister hotel). One voucher per room per day. Breakfasts were plentiful, and there is an honour bar along with a free coffee bar adjacent to the bar. Lighting in the room was good and the black out curtains were welcomed given the long days. I found the hotel well located to visit all the major sites in Copenhagen as well as to catch trains to the outlying sites. There is a 7-eleven just down the street, near the train station, where we went to stock up on beverages. Overall, our stay was pleasant and more than met our expectation. I would recommend the Andersen.
Nothing really. There is an option of securing a larger room for a higher room rate.
