How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Mattress very hard, didn't sleep amazingly, and people chattering till 1am, when some of us had to get up at 7am
The quick and ease, getting a place to rest ones head in Copenhagen without paying an arm and a leg

The bed was a great idea but not great airflow with two people. Our fan/air sounded a lot as well

Charges for every extra thing, including luggage storage and towels and toothpaste etc

- My capsule keypass was not working and I had to ask help from two staff members to solve it while it was around midnight, however luckily at the end it was solved after 40 minutes. - Toilets were not as clean as last time I stayed.
- Affordable price for backpackers, which gave me an easy option to have one night stay during my transit journey via copenhagen airport. - Clean showers - Helpful staff, who helped me solve my capsule keypass problem.

Very uncomfortable bathroom, almost no shower. Also they have a bar downstairs so there is plenty of noise during the night.
Easy check in and out. Super well located.

The room smelled incredibly bad one night. The pods aren't particularly soundproof, especially not to other people's 2am drunk conversations!
Great bar and facilities downstairs, room was fairly quiet, great value for money.

Two toilets did not work but the third one did. At breakfast the friendly staff opened the big doors to the street and all the smoke from the annoying smokers blew into the dining area.
Great shower. Good location. Bed was comfortable. It was good to have a locker.

Very well situated, in the city center. The room and facilities were clean and comfortable. The staff was so kind and helpful, and the bar downstairs is a great place to meet people and enjoy the evening. Do not pay attention to people leaving bad reviews because they were expecting a hotel. If you are actually looking for a youth hostel, this is a great place.

Maybe the privacy for bathrooms as there's only one bathroom for each floor and you have to cross all corridors to reach.

The price for the stay could have been cheaper considering the portal rooms were so claustrophobic, wouldn't recommend to someone who wants their own space but good for a one night stay

The showers were just okay, but the toilets were unsanitary. Sometimes the water didn’t flush so they had a disgusting smell. They also have a bot that messages you, which is broken since it sent me the same message 6 times. It’s annoying.
The beds were very comfortable and the common area in the basement of the bar is comfy - it also has a microwave and a water heater. The location is perfect, it’s so close to the centre.

Our room was facing to the street and there was a lot of noise after midnight. The breakfast was poor. We rather go to a coffee somewhere else.
The room with bunk bed was small and comfortable - good value for the price. Location is a 10/10 with bars open until late and a metro station at 7min walking.

The bathrooms didn’t have enough toilets and sinks for the whole floor.
The beds were very comfy, the hostel was right in downtown copenhagen so it was really easy to get around town

I wished for curtains for each bunk bed in the room. It is always intimate to sleep that many people in one room. But at some other hostels, you have a curtain, and that gives you - and everyone - a little privacy, especially right before going to sleep and right after waking up. I missed it.
