Free kitchen, clean room, near to highway but quiet place, the breakfast

In general, it's all fine, apart from the checking time being a bit early, but still reasonable.

The hostel is located on a small hill, which provides a nice and wide view of the town. The room is clean, equipped with comfy beds and mattresses, and also a quite spacious bathroom. As the hostel rooms are constructed like a summer house, they are basically all just one floor, without disturbances from upstairs, which might also benefit from the soundproof carpets.

Found it a bit tricky finding our room- we arrived after the staff had left, and whilst our keys were left safely for us, we weren’t sure where to head to, or how to access the kitchen area. A minor point though.

That it provided lodgings for the night for a reasonable price, and it was clean and tidy.

You need to bring your own linen or pay for rental (80dkk). We did not see this before booking.

The room was good, we did not have time to explore other facilities.

If you travel by car, the hostel has a good location and enough parking space. But we traveled by train and walked from the station - in this case the hostel is not close to the train station, the old part of town nor a supermarket (but there is a bus station nearby)

The room was quite big, clean and bathroom as well. Friedly lady at the reception. There were a big kitchen with all needed appliances to cook, to make some tea or coffee. Free parking.

It was clean and nice and easy to check in even after the reception closed. Courteous staff, comfortable beds and dog friendly. Cozy area, nice shared kitchen and a good patio if the kids want to play a little football or run around.

Quiet twin room with shared bathroom. Good breakfast worth the additional cost. Good range of facilities, including a tv in the common room to watch the Euros.

The beds are narrow and could be difficult for larger-sized guests. The location is a bit far from the train station and away from shops and restaurants, but still a pleasant walk through town. I would have liked to know in advance that the town swimming pool is free for guests but I only saw that after I arrived (with no swimsuit).

My request to be away from other guests and noise resulted in me being located in a private wing with no other guests and the bathroom to myself! No traffic noise at all due to secluded hotel location. Lovely greenery and peaceful grounds on 3 side sof the hotel offsets the large parking lot at the entrance. Environmentally friendly practices: a huge well-equipped kitchen cuts down on food waste and restaurant visits. The encouragement for guests to bring their own sheets certainly results in significant energy and water savings. Friendly and efficient staff.

Easy self-check-in due to late arrival. Room was basic but clean and the bathroom was good as well. Friendly staff (just seen in the morning for payment of the bed sheets).

The was dust on surfaces. A little cleaning before guest come will be just perfect.

I have stayed at Dan Hostel Kolding a number of times as a starter. I was in room 16 this time. In these rooms the soundproofing was dissapointing. I could hear everything from both sides, every step and movement. Though it was totally not the hostels and they had no control over this fault I had loud snoring in stereo the first night (I had wax earplugs in as well) . It could perhaps be helped with some textile (felt pieces) on the walls perhaps.

Nice room all facilities provided. I have stayed at the hostel a number of times. It's good value for money.
