Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaThis is not the cruise problem, but it is worth mentioning. You should know that after exiting the space of Denmark(or Norway or Sweden) your phone will connect to a maritime satellite network and the mobile data will be insanely expensive, so you better close your roaming 1h after departure from each port.
We liked everything!

GermanyThe bed can be more comfortable. Only 1 body towel is provided. The prices of the food is too overly expensive. Bring your own food and snacks.
Check-in was easy. The standard cabin is clean and was as described. Nice view from the deck and lots of things to do if you have a lot of money. The cruise experience was great. The view is breathtaking.

United KingdomSlightly on the expensive side for everything, but I guess that's Scandinavia as a whole. Budget accordingly, drinks and snacks soon add up.
Nice cabins, lots to look around at, great opportunity to visit 2 countries. Timings were promptly adhered to. Plenty of choice for food and entertainment.

United KingdomBe aware that once you are on board, you have to pay a high price for everything. The Little Italy restaurant was a reasonable price but breakfast is very, very expensive if you book the buffet restaurant. The only other option is the coffee shop, which is basically pastries which we didn't really want. There is no kettle in the rooms, so we asked if we could possibly purchase some hot water and milk (we had our own tea bags). We were told we could have both for free. However, they would only provide flimsy plastic cups, which weren't really practical for putting boiling water in. If we were to do a ferry again, we would make sure we take plenty of our own snacks and drinks on with us before boarding, particularly with a 9 year old.
Check-in staff were really friendly and helpful. The ship is spotlessly clean with so much to do, particularly for our 9 year old son, who had a blast on there. We ate at Little Italy restaurant the two nights we were on board and thoroughly enjoyed it, both food and being served by lovely staff. We had an inner cabin which, as expected, was quite small but very manageable for the time we were in it.

United StatesThe prices at the restaurants could have been a little lower. It was pretty steep for what we got.
What an amazing experience! It all started with the ticket counter. We couldn't do self check-in because of a minor issue, but the young guy who helped us was kind and very friendly. He was very helpful and just awesome. Being on the ferry for two nights was cheaper than staying on land for two nights and we got transport from Copenhagen to Oslo included! Loved how clean it was! Perfect.

Czech RepublicStaying on the ferry was a fun and unique experience. Everything was clean and comfortable, and we loved going up on deck to enjoy the beautiful views. The ferry has 11 floors with restaurants, shops, a small pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and even a kids’ area. We tried the all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant – it was definitely an interesting experience and great for trying many different dishes (around €40 per person). The next day, we went to an Italian restaurant on board, which was also delicious and offered huge portions for about €20 per person. We departed from Copenhagen at 16:30 and arrived in Oslo at 10:00. After a day of sightseeing and exploring the city, we took the ferry back at 16:30 and arrived again in Copenhagen the next morning. It was a really unique trip!✨

SpainMaybe the cabin is good for 2 people but we think 4 could be narrow.
We loved the common areas and the ship itself. Easy to do the check and the crew was helpful with the information with activities or any issue that we had; actually the last day one of them came to fix the tv and we didn’t ask them before, that’s quality. By the way we loved the games on the bar and the music band singing happy birthday 🎂

GermanyOnly 1 English speaking TV channel in the room - News. The Spa and Pool areas was out of service during our stay. The staff casually said: "sorry". We paid a lot of money and we specifically aimed to visit the pool. It wasn't nice.
We stayed in Commodore class, we had Wi-Fi access, very good breakfast, nice room. In general, we liked the tirp a lot. Especially it was great to walk and sit at the deck in the sunny weather.
