How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room was quite crowded but it was okay. Radiators were tiny, couldn't dry clothes on. Only two toilets on the corridor for all the rooms. The beds were extremely squeaky. The biggest thumbs down is for the fact we had to bring or pay for our own bed linen, fair enough if it is expensive for them, but it doesn't say it anywhere in the booking, we just received a text after booking. That annoyed us a little.
The common area was great. Very sociable. Staff were lovely. It was volunteer run. There was love music on Saturday in the common area, great atmosphere. Very cosy when it wasn't the night-we ordered a pot of tea to share and got 4 1/2 cups out of it. The bathroom was big.

You get what you paid for. It’s worth the money if you’re planning some place to stay in. At least you have your own room with you. It’s also near to bus stop and Convenience Store. We left our luggage before we checked in and also when we checked out to explore more of the City. Luggage and Stuff are pretty safe.

Only the bed was smaller than a standard double bed. We could have bought extra bed linens, but I don't like putting them on and taking them off ourselves. Maybe they could have offered an option to have the room ready when we arrived by mentioning this in advance.
The hotel was in a good location. We took the bus to the center. Although there was a bar underneath, the room was quiet enough. The bathroom and toilet were clean. The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They were very helpful in every way.

Pity to have to pay extra for bed linen and towels, at least they inform you before that.
Working personnel was friendly and helpful. The location itself was good and close to the city center with many shops nearby. Room was warm and quiet, so it was okay as well.

The room was very original just like the whole theme of the hostel. It is situated in quite a good location. The personnel was helpful and really nice.

The mattress was pretty uncomfortable unfortunately, my back hurt after 3 days there. Cleanliness was okay, after all it's a Hostel and there are many people using the same facilities so I get that it is hard to keep everyhting absolutely spotless.
The staff was very nice and always open to help, check-in and check-out were very easy and the neighborhood was amazing!

One of the showers on the floor I stayed did not have good pressure.
Staff at the reception are nice. The common spaces are spacious.

After my booking they said for bed linen additionally I have to pay 35DKK. So for to both of us I have to pay 70DKK. It's like a hidden charge not included their description.

Centrally located. They have events organized almost everyday. The people at reception are really nice and understanding.

The rooms were not like the pictures. The toilets were clean but the beds were not. The rooms were very hot and stuffy. The surroundings of the hostel were very noisy at night.

The bed linen cost. I travel pretty frequently, and it's the first one that I saw this. I understand that there is inflation and life is more expensive, but couldn't you do something else to combat it. Like raising price of bed ?
Normal hostel, if you don't bring much expectations. It will be just fine.

Shower in the bathroom could be better… more cleanliness in the bathroom area would be good.
Girl at the reception was super nice… she helped me park my motorbike in the courtyard. Mattress and pillows were good quality.. overall well organized
