You just can't run an upscale hotel with (very friendly) high school students on their summer break. The restaurant chef is top notch and some of the waiters, too - but unqualified staff just is a complete no go for such establishments.

Location, location, location. It's a classic, traditional Danish badehotel in excellent shape.

Sometimes the staff felt a bit stressed. Breakfast logistics can be improved.

Beautiful quiet location, where one can really relax and sleep well. The rooms were in the authentic spirit and style of the area, which I loved. The restaurant was great as well - for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff was exceptionally kind and professional, more than anywhere else I have been.

That we couldn’t stay longer.

The decoration and character of the hotel was great. All the staff were charming and clearly enjoyed working at the hotel. Over the years we have stayed in many places and this would rate amongst the best. The food was made with care, perhaps best demonstrated by the delicious homemade bread.

The hotel and our room were exactly as in the photos with a charming atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and nice. The surroundings of the hotel are very beautiful, so if you are an outdoor person this place is well located. During our stay the wind was very strong so did not get as much to the beach as we had hoped, but instead spent more time in Skagen. All in all a nice stay.

The mattress on the beds was quite soft for our liking - but this definitely did not take anything away from our lovely experience at the hotel!

We have loved absolutely everything about our stay at Hjorths Badehotel. The staff are so attentive (especially the hotel manager Jette), always making sure that we were doing alright and had everything we needed for our stay. The hotel is very cozy and in an awesome location allowing for nature walks all around. It has a great restaurant too! Would 100% recommend if going to this part of Denmark and looking for a quiet getaway.

No separate dining area for families w children (could be noisy), pricey restaurant w very pricey wine list ( no wines for less than dKr 600), limited a la carte choices.

Great location for beach hotel - a short walk from the sea. Beautifully maintained old world style. Comfortable room w good ensuite. Fantastic breakfast buffet, friendly and very helpful staff, great restaurant. No wifi outside communal areas, no TV. No nearby town so no traffic.

It was too pricy. Also, you have no options to eat if you do not book the restaurant well in advance. Other than that, we loved the place!

This is a beautiful accommodation surrounded by breathtaking nature. It is close to Skagen and they welcome dogs. The breakfast was superb as well as their gin and tonics :) The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. l I had some last-minute requests and the hotel staff was very helpful to solve them for me instantly.

The bathroom was not pleasant and in contrast to the other decoration it felt worn down. The staff was friendly but inattentive and sloppy except Andreas and Freja who did a very good job! :)

The dinner was extremely overpriced and not worth the price we paid at all. Upon complaining about a dry steak, the young staffer said he was sorry to hear. People expect better food and service when they pay premium on food

No wifi, which is quite annoying. It's not like the guests will go on a digital detox, you simply use your own mobile data.. No real curtains to make the room dark. As much as I love the bright Danish summer nights - waking up at 5 am on my holiday and loosing sleep because there are no dark curtains and the room is completely bright, is a big minus. The bathroom was not very clean.

Charming, cute and tastefully decorated little hotel. Close to the beach in a peaceful location. Friendly staff and good breakfast.
