The room was a bit musty and could use a renovation. Bed and chair was of bad quality. The breakfast in the morning lacked food. Not much to choose from and a rather confusing layout. This place is more a motel than a hotel. Not worth the money.

You had your own terrace and there was a nice pool.

The shower is not something you want to use. Full of limestone, the shower head I think is completely ignored when cleaning. The breakfast you can skip it. Food is just put on different plates / containers without being mentioned what it is (you just have to take a guess or take by chances). If something is empty, there's nobody to do a refill.

The rooms are very spacious. There is even a balcony with a clothes dryer.

The pool and adjacent locker rooms were rather dirty, staff was giving conflicting messages about facilities and breakfast looked like it was some party leftovers sitting there for at least a week.

    The cabin was cozy.

Old hotel. Not well maintained. It is quite expensive but they don’t provide the bed linens and there is no options on that area for accommodation. When we arrived we had to pay extra for the bed linens and wasn’t there anyway. We had to call twice for reminding and only in the evening they provided.

It has a game room for kids.

It was dirty, glass pieces underneath sofa, broken wooden panels underneath the bed. Uncomfortable mattresses. Steep ladder to upper floor. Door had an opening underneath, so mosquitoes were coming in constantly

For the price/night I shouldn't need to bring my own linens & towels. Also the interior was more worn than in the photos.

We had our own small cabin and there were many fun things for the kids to play on, including the swimming pool.

This place was probably great in the 70s. Since then nothing changed except the price that kept with inflation and beyond. Cabins are falling apart, actually the entire complex is. Linens are dirty even when rented onsite for a ridiculous price. You even have to pay for the electricity in your cabin…and I don’t even want to talk about the outrageously expensive breakfast that was also cooked in the 70s…

Not much to like besides location

Don’t book “the oasis”. The owner tried upon arrival to charge us for an upgrade because she suspected we would not like it. She was right the cabin was filthy, worn down and cold. We stayed one night and complained. We got new rooms from a different receptionist who seemed very understanding, but at check out we had to re-argue with the first owner again who was more preoccupied with the use of electricity during the first night in the cabin.

Dont go there off season - this is a summer resort hotel. It should be winterclosed. The stay was just before newyear and it was cold outside. The room was not preheated and the first 24 hours was it insanely cold to stay inside so we had to have outdoor close on sitting at the table. Its rearly expensive to stay at kommandørgården and the breakfast is super expensive and just the cheapest you can find in a discount supermarket.

Great location out to the mainroad and easy to access. It could be fun to be at in the summer.

The cabins are build very close together, so there's not much privacy, and very limited sun on the terraces because of the proximity of the other cabins. The unit we were staying in was in bad need of a fixup, and a clean oven.

The area was nice and the atmosphere was relaxed and kid friendly. The islandic horse center was affordable with a wide range of tours for both beginner and experienced riders. The pool area, changing rooms and water was clean and well managed, sadly the steambath was out of order.

We had a cabin which was completely different to the hotel. No other guests were staying in them and we know why. Expensive to begin with then charged for linen and electricity. Cabin was small, outdated and more flys inside than outside. Poorly maintained, rotten decking and plugs upstairs didnt work. A large warning charge for not washing up is a joke as most of the utility utensials needed to be thrown out.

Restaurant was open. Leaving in morning in one piece was a relief.
