Very basic rooms. A flash-back of the eighties. Although it's expebsive, they should try and start renovering the rooms and the common spaces step by step. A hotel with such a location deserves better.

Nothing to dislike really as the hotel doesn’t claim to be any sort of luxury. It’s quite a basic accommodation.

Vordingborg lacks accommodation options, so this hotel is the only viable one. The location is very good — right next to the restaurants, Goose tower, marina, etc. The staff is superb and very helpful and friendly. We didn’t have high expectations from a two star hotel and it was better than we thought after reading reviews here (frankly, I was relived that the hotel was better than some of the reviewers described, but maybe we were lucky with the rooms). Think of 2* and it really is, nothing more. The rooms are clean and basic, the staff is great and helpful, there is also a nice terrace to have a cup of tea.

Overall the hotel is just very old now and that's ok. We knew that when we booked it. For one night stay it was totally ok.

The staff was amazing, super friendly, super nice and helpful. Can't say anything bad about the staff and service. We needed an iron and a hair dryer and the staff arranged it all for us. Even 1 1/2 later checkout without extra charge was no issue. Thanks for the warm welcome and all the help.

No fridge, the room was unbearably hot! Room overlooked the car park, so with window open we were kept awake by the constant traffic on the gravelled car park and noisy cars revving engines and people oblivious to the fact there were other people to consider. Only 2 channels on Smart TV and probably only 1 English programme on in 4 days. Bar didn't appear to be open.

Good location, right by Goose Tower. Nice little town and a lovely area to walk around. Gentleman on reception let us check in early and extended our stay, refunded us 2 nights when we completed our job and left early and breakfast was included, which was very nice, just continental buffet. We have stayed here before and knew what to expect. Just the basics, no kettle, toiletries, hairdryer etc in the room so I brought my own this time! Clean, but very tired, dated decor. There are a few supermarkets nearby which are worth a visit.

I wouldn't say we didn't like it, but I would have been better prepared. Extremely basic accommodation, just a bed and bathroom. No extras, no tea/coffee making facility in the room, no hairdryer, no toiletries etc. But if you know this in advance you won't be disappointed.

We arrived way earlier than the listed check in time, but the staff were so friendly and helpful and we were able to go straight to our room so that my husband could get changed to start work. A real bonus. Good location and very close to all amenities, shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Lovely fresh coffee in the lobby.

This is a very good hotel, also for me as a bicycle traveller. The man at the reception was very friendly and helpfull. My bicycle could be parked in a safe place during the night. The room and bathroom are spacious and very clean. All facilities (restaurants, shops) are within walking distance.

The hotel is/was highly overrated. At the price I would have expected something much better. The bathroom was 1970's Ibis, ie a curtain, poor shower, etc The room was disorganised, the beds were pushed to the side so the one with a usable bedlamp was not easily accessible, and the bedlamp above the bad that was easy to use, did not work.
