How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Lovely location by the sea. Staff very helpful and friendly. Italian restaurant a pleasant 20 minute walk, good but pricey.

The room was very small but manageable, and it was very far away from anything no nearby restaurants no grocery I had to take a taxi because I didn’t have a car
It was quiet, in the middle of nature near the sea, so I took a couple of days just to disconnect Also, they have a good gym

The exterior felt a bit uncomfortable.
A bit dated but okay. The external surroundings are crying for a proper face-lift but the rooms and general interior is quite okay for the price. Breakfast was okay too.

Smelled like cigarette smoke in the corridors. Maybe not the hotel’s fault if another guest was smoking in their room but still unpleasant.

Konventum Conference Center is located away from the city but in a very peaceful and serene environment.Public bus stop is located at walking distance which connects with most of the tourist attractions and Helsingor town.Good ambience,Staff is courteous,responsive and helpful. Recommend and will like to book again.

There isn't anything that we didn't like. Just a couple of small things to add to improve the experience in the future: some vegetables, or just some cucumbers and tomatoes at breakfast would be a wonderful addition. We were also there at a quiet time, it could be nice to have a selection of board games/lawn games made more available for guests to use in the communal areas. 9am check out is a little early.
The space, the design of the building, all of the artwork to look at, friendly staff, the location...being so close to nature and the sea...there's so much to explore...and the delicious breakfast buffet! For public transport there is the 353 bus to get to and from Helsingør and you can take the local train from Højstrup station which is close by, and from here you can get further along the coast to Gilleleje and other seaside towns.

One very minor comment is that we would have liked access to a vending machine, so that we could have purchased some snacks when it was late evening.
It was so lovely to have breakfast in a dining room with such an amazing sea view. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We really appreciated the free coffees and the bottled water. We really enjoyed walking down the forest path from the hotel to reach the sea.

Check out time was a little early at 10am, most places it’s 11am. We asked for a later check out of 10.30am but was refused. The place in general looked a little tired and required some further renovation. But this didn’t detract from our stay at all. Restaurant was closed and for a Friday evening it was disappointing.
Good quiet location 12 mins from Helsingor centre by bicycle. Rooms were clean and size was okay. Bathroom was fairly small and modern and had a good shower. Breakfast was exceptionally good and plentiful. Very nice to have free tea and coffee available in a lovely communal area where we could sit in the evening. Good value and would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was ok, could have had more healthier options. It’s a bit far from town & if you get a taxi to the hotel late at night, the ballards we’re up at the main entrance, so you had to walk up the long driveway.
This was a no frills hotel, more for events & conferences than leisure hotel, however the amenities gave you everything thing you needed. The staff were very helpful and views from the breakfast room was beautiful. The room was basic, but was clean & had everything you needed & for the price pretty good.

It was a 39 minute walk from town, but there is a bus to the property.

Check-in was a pain! See comments above.
View from the room was good as it was opening up to the golf course. We were quite disappointed during the time of check-in as we were not given a room based upon our booking. The hotel gave us three rooms to look at and pick from and we insisted on the room we initially booked. Finally we were alloted a room that was comfortable. The rest is history.

One coffee machine at breakfast for espresso etc. Thus long line and wait. Not able to book dinner the whole weekend.
