Extremely overpriced considering what you would get in the uk for the same money. (Didn't even have tea/coffee in the room?) 6 night stay costing £934 was booked well in advance . On arrival first room we were given was opposite some empty rooms supposedly being refurbished. Hallway etc smelt like foul drains. I immediately complained to reception who phoned the manager and another room was given. Room was booked to have two single beds...it had two beds however they were pushed together like a double covered with one bedsheet. Beds were rock hard and quilts, really heavy. I didn't sleep well all week. Hotel restaurant food was ok but again very expensive and bar /lounge was not staffed and closed at 10pm. After 10 you could only purchase drinks from a vending machine in the pool room which half the time didn't work? Friends of ours occupied 3 other rooms but you couldn't socialise at the bar because it was shut and the pool room although well equipped was too hot and humid to relax in. Just prior to and during our stay prices were coming through on my phone from hotel price comparison sites...Booking.com was the 2nd most expensive by some margin! Perhaps I will have to rethink my future travel plans. Hotel clean, staff lovely, location great. Value for money? I'm not so sure.

There's not a lot of air circulation in the room so even when the windows are open, it can get quite hot. It would be wise to bring a small portable fan.

The breakfast was lovely and delicious with a variety of options to choose from. It was nice to be able to enjoy my breakfast with the view of the Dampark. I especially enjoyed the walks along the Dampark and seeing the ducks lounging on the grass.

The room is extremely simple and the bed is like a student bed , very very simple. But ok to sleep on for one night. But room felt a little hostel style , not really hotel style…

Rooms are rather small and functional. Cleaning was not done after first night and only after complaint after second night.

The location of the Hotel is awesome, close to both, the lake and downtown.

The WiFi was not very strong, list signal a lot and didn't allow me to use a VPN. Also the WiFi was not well secured, I could see all other guests on the network. Also a shower curtain is something i really don't like.

I really like the water pressure and heath of the shower. Also the beds are fine. Its practically to have parking next to the hotel.

Access to the bedroom and bathroom was slightly hampered by wooden thresholds which made wheelchair access more difficult. However the rest of the ground floor was well adapted with ramps where necessary and we had no problems.

The location was very peaceful yet close to the town centre. Breakfast was lovely with a good variety on offer. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The standard of the rooms were very poor. For a cost of just above £150 per night the rooms were not worth £50 per night. If you had a shower you flooded the bathroom, plus the shower used a shower curtain which would constantly stick to you as there was not enough space in the shower to move freely when the curtain was closed, as well as not being able to contain the water within the shower itself. The rooms were dated and need a good refurbishment as you could see that the walls hadn't been redecorated or plastered, they had just been painted over time and time again. With an eastern facing bedroom the curtains were not blackout, so every morning around 0400 I was awoken with the sun bursting into the room. I'd go as far to say it was the worst hotel room I've stayed in whilst away on business.

The staff were very friendly and the food was of a good standard with plenty to offer. Bar facilities were adequate and were suitable for what I wanted. Hotel is situated in a lovely location.

The room was dirty. I found tissue, two spiders inside the room and very dusty . Bathroom and toilet was clean and new renovated. They have swimming in the property but I didn't need it because I came late at night and I check out early in the morning.

The room was slightly cramped and there was no air conditioning. I had to wedge the room door open with the window open to get enough draft to lower the room temperature, until bedtime of course.

Very helpful and cheerful receptionist, and attentive restaurant staff. Room allocated was on ground floor and close to parking as requested as I had a lot of luggage. The restaurant was a surprise - everything Cordon Bleu standard.
