Poor communication about an extra bed we already paid for. That being said, the staff did a great job providing an extra bed within minutes.

The room lacked air conditioning, making warm nights uncomfortable. The bathroom was quite small and our sink drained poorly. There was no desk or workspace, which would have been helpful. While our included breakfast was convenient, the quality and variety could be improved.

The hotel’s location was excellent—just a 10-minute walk to the beach, making it very convenient for swimming and relaxing. Free parking was a big plus, and the option to charge our electric car (paid per kWh) was useful. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast, though paid separately, was satisfying with decent options.

Personal was kind of rude. It looks like guests disturb when they arrive. We arrived by bicycle soacking wet around 2:45 pm after a long rainy cold day, but we were bluntly told that check-in starts at 3 pm, fair enough, but we can also be nicely asked to wait. Under the circumstances, it would be great to get to the room 10 min earlier, the room was ready. The next day, during breakfast, which was ok , I asked for tee spoons. The lady in the restaurant just said; "Sorry, we don't have any" , she turned back and went.

The room was nice, as well as the bathroom. Very comfy and clean. Strand is just few minutes away. We liked the facilities .

Noise from the other rooms till very late hours. Maybe just a bad luck for a noisy guests.

We thought the room was a bit empty, it looked like some furniture were missing.

The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was newly refurbished, so it was very modern.

We arrived late and upon arrival the room was cold. It would have been nice if they turned on the heating in advance. Breakfast was so-so.

Very clean, nice and spacious rooms. We had a room with a balcony, which made it feel even larger. Staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was really good. We also had dinner as the setting was more relaxing than closer to the beach.

Stopped over for one night on a family car trip before heading on to Germany via the ferry from Gedser, which is 15 minutes away. Was expecting a basic motel or B&B and was pleasantly surprised to find a full-fledged hotel with comfy, modern rooms, a decent danish kro-style restaurant and good free parking. Everything was clean, bathroom seemed newly renovated, food in the restaurant was decent and staff was nice. Since we were only passing through we were unaware that Marielyst is such an idyllic summer town. Having discovered that, we might very well spend a day or three here in the future.

Although the rooms were relatively clean, I would say the cleaning could be better. An example was a thick layer of dust on the bathroom wall lights. The leaflet handed to us when we checked in said the rooms had a light clean daily and any towels left on the floor would be changed. This was not the case. Towels on the floor stayed on the floor. Tea, coffee and creamer were not replenished. The bins were never emptied and one day they didn’t come into the room at all. Another relative staying in another room had the same service. This was a deterioration from our previous stay. We also ate in the hotel one evening and although the food was fine, the menu was limited and we were charged for tap water which had been filtered. Not something that we would pay for in the UK. The burger was quite rare and another evening we ordered coffee in the bar and it was only luke warm. Definitely room for improvement and possibly due mostly to staffing levels. The staff seemed overworked.

Staff! They were not present, nor profesional. Check in was difficult, and, despite I have previously asked for dinner on arrival, there was nothing at 8:30 as waiter said there was no fixed time but depended ''on chef's will'' :-(

Location was superb, ample facilities and grounds. Room was clean, also ample, well lighted and so was bathroom Wi fi worked well, fast and stable Breakfast was good, despite a bit restricted in selection
