It was a very hot night with no wind, and the room had neither a fan nor air conditioning. It would be nice if the hotel could at least provide a fan in the room.

It was a short visit to the city with one overnight stay on our way to the holiday house on the west side of the island. The location is in the heart of the old town and includes a parking space.

Room was lovely and spacious. Bathroom luxurious with heated floor and both bath and shower. Welcome extras in room and ice machine in corridor. Didn’t get chance to use sauna/fitness room, but great to have the possibility.

Super Breakfast, very nice Dinning Room. Nice and modern decoration combined with classic elements and in a classic setting. Hotel Restaurant was nice with good level and service minded. Specially the Fish was good. The Hotel has their own Parking which is recommended, easy and not expensive. Setting is in a Pedestrian Zone in the Center, so better park the car in Parking enjoy the City Center.

Due to a mix-up, I was accidentally given a single room instead of the family room I had booked, so it was smaller than I had anticipated, but still very comfortable and more spacious than single rooms at other hotels (only the bathroom was tiny). The coffee served in cans at breakfast was weak (possibly old), but you can order coffee specialties with the charming breakfast staff, which will be freshly brewed and served at your table. The hotel parking garage is difficult to find (you can enter the network of one-way streets only via Slotsgade), and offers little room to manoeuvre (you are forced to block other cars and then hand in your keys at reception so they can move your car if another guest wants to leave earlier) - still, I am happy that the hotel offers parking at all (many historic hotels in other city centres simply don't).

Beautiful hotel, with a stylish historic decor but modern and convenient rooms. Excellent location right in the middle of Randers. Delicious breakfast.

The breakfast was very basic and not worth the price. The room had no air conditioning, which is below the standard expected from a 4-star hotel by European standards. Instead, there was only a small fan. Overall, this felt more like a 3-star hotel charging 4-star prices. Poor value for money.

I have never complained about an accommodation but to enter a carpeted room which had not been vacuumed or poorly vacuumed was not what we expected in any hotel and certainly for not what we had paid. We arrived at midnight and it was still very loud outside. There were 2 pairs of ear plugs in our room! Something to think about.

The young man at the reception desk was extremely friendly and professional. The bathroom was very clean. The hotel is in a pedestrian zone which has advantages and disadvantages.
