Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe breakfast didn't quite meet the very high standards of the previous night's dinner: there was no fruit available or Danish pastries - most unusual for a Danish hotel.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location, probably the best we stayed in on our 10-day holiday cycling around Funen. There was a large conference at the hotel the evening we stayed, which meant the restaurant was busy & noisy. But we were allowed to eat dinner outside on the patio with splendid views. An excellent meal too and the chef's bread was delicious.

Unique location and beautiful view from the balcony of the suite. Breakfast consists of mainly homemade food and the atmosphere is relaxing and warming.

FinlandThe room was pretty basic but well functioning.
The location of the hotel is beautiful next to the sea and a large green garden. The breakfast was really great as well as the dinner in the hotel restaurant.

GermanyMostly a conference hotel, located in an astonishingly beautiful setting ion the middle of a stately seaside park. Our rooms were basic but functional (after all, it's mainly a conference hotel). Don't forget to reserve your dinner table at the hotel restaurant, the food is excellent and alternatives few and far between. Staff is very friendly.

DenmarkFor a hotel out in the countryside where guests often arrive after some journey some sort of lunch/sandwich should be offered . You cannot just walk down the road and get some.
Beautiful mansion in idyllic scenery. Pictures on the walls were certainly worth a study and extra look.

SwedenThe room was terrible. You could hear every sound from the neighboring rooms. As if the guests in those rooms were in your room. Breakfast was really small with no hot food and very little to choose from. Check out is at 10 which is really bad if you are there for a getaway. Who wakes up, eats breakfast and checks out at 10 am a Saturday or Sunday?
The location, nature and main building are exceptional. Staff are really friendly.

NetherlandsI wish the rooms were located in the main buiding instead of this appendix. Would've been a nicer experience. The room was kind of clinical, but still more than decent.
The thing I liked most about the stay was the location and the staff. Very nice people and accommodating. The beds were really comfortable.

GermanyFor some rooms you need to go out of the main building, so depending of the weather conditions it can be a bit muddy. Rooms are comfortable but very basic and nothing facy, remind me of my university dormitory. There are some facilities that are not open such as bar and billard, but they are closed for the guests, only for specific events or seasons.
It a very nice hotel in the middel of nowhere, perfect for corporate events, team building or weddings. It has an amazing garden and beautiful view to the see. Breakfast is simple but tasty. And there is plenty of space for parking.

United KingdomUnfortunately for the price they put us in a very small room right at the back of the hotel. It felt like "the kids room" in the hotel with 2x single beds, which was very disappointing considering the price we paid for the room. They also could not accommodate us within their restaurant. With nowhere nearby to eat, we had to resort to ordering a takeaway from "nearby" Assens. We felt this was extremely poor hospitality as the staff did not help with aquiring this takeaway either. If we had not managed this, we would have gone hungry despite paying £100+ for a room. For the quality and luxury of the hotel, our experience was tarnished with this experience and stress of tryign to find something to eat.

NetherlandsInform us up front about big wedding party and compensate us instead of letting us pay the full amount including breakfast! We left after 15 minutes!
We had booked a room for 1 night. The hotel did not inform us that there was a wedding and a birthday party planned that weekend at the hotel. We were informed that the restaurant was fully booked. We could not eat there, and there are no other restaurants in the proximity of the hotel. We were placed in a tiny room with an old badroom, all the way at the end of a small corridor. The rest of this hallway, was occupied with wedding party people, walking in and out each others rooms, happy shouting and pre-partying. We could fully understand this exitement, but we expected it to be even noisier at night after the party. In our oppinion, the hotel could have informed us about this before, so that we could have made our own decision if we would book or not. When we indicated that we decided not to stay, we had to pay the full amount, including breakfast. Only then the woman at the reseption offered us another room, which would be better. We declined and left. Note: she also indicated that because we booked with booking.com, there was nothing they could do.
