Amazing hotel, food and staff! We had the best time!

The Location and terrace and the pools of the chill area close to the hotel

The taxi von sabana de la mare was super expensive! Maybe get in contact with the accommodation to arrange a Taxi in advance.

Just a fantastic place - very unique. Nice staff, good food, fantastic views from our room. It might be rustic for some people, but the room was very spacious and comfortable. No air-conditioning, but the location on the hillside was breezy and cool - the ceiling fans were more than enough. A beautiful spot and a different experience - one of our favourite places in the D.R.

Shower didnt work well. Staff was really rude. They ignored our messages for 9 days, then when we arrived they told us to speak to a manager the next day, the next day there was no manager. They charged our credit card without our approval and without a signature, they called the police on us when they realized they were wrong, as a way to pressure us to leave. Rude and only cared about being paid and charging us, had 4 employees yelling at us to pay, refused to listen, had mistakes on the bills, didnt care that our shower didnt work well, abd we were 5 people with 1 broken shower. They refused to give us the receipt for the charges that they did illegally. Horrible experience. Deceptions on deceptions. Unprofessional, bullying, stopped speaking English when they ran out of argument, only cared to charge us money, and never cared to provide actual customer service. Manager Melissa was unhelpful throught whatsapp, blamed us for having issues with their credit card machines, anything to just talk about fees. Charged us 50$ for the 5th person, but we showed proof that is was suppose to be the same price as 4 people, with screenshots from booking.com, forced us to pay anyway, always saying to speak with manager later, we asked for a manager 6 times, they call the politur police instead. Some employees should literally be fired.

This property is so unique and being surrounded by Los Haitises national park is gorgeous. The room was very spacious and clean with an adorable balcony and hammock to enjoy the view. We did a tour of the park by boat and hike with Wilfred and highly recommend this to make the most of your stay. All our meals were delicious! We had breakfast and dinner included and bought lunch while there as well (the location is remote, so once there you can’t just run into town for things). It was a little cool to enjoy the pools since we were there at the end of December but we loved walking around the property and checking them out. All staff were incredibly kind and helpful. My husband speaks Spanish which was definitely helpful but we could have gotten by without it if needed. We would go back again in a heartbeat!

Communication with the property prior to arrival was difficult and because they don’t have their own fully functioning website it was hard to know exactly what to expect. Our flight in was delayed so we were arriving later than expected and I was worried we would miss dinner but had no way to contact the hotel. It all worked out but I was nervous!

The view from the balcony was great. The food in the restaurant was good and not expensive. The staff is very polite and patient with demanding guests.

We visited during torrential rains and noticed a small water leak from the roof into our room. The access road from Sabana de la mar requires crossing many deep puddles of mud.

Prime location with beautiful view across the national park and bay. All day personal tour with Wilfred, the memorable guide. Very unique natural pool at a waterfall with a beautiful atmosphere.

Included dinner was not very good for vegetarians, I can’t speak for the other options though.

Been there a few times! always a good to stay, more enjoyable by the week days, less people.

An astonishing view from the room. The natural pools are refreshing and beautiful. Great food!! The tour is recommended when staying here.

No airco or fridge in the room.

Extremely charming, quiet, secluded eco hotel with amazing views. A break from the every day beach trips and all the tourist traps. We were not aware of the natural pools and we all, adults and kids in our group loved them! Note that we came early afternoon on a Thursday, so we had the entire property pretty much to ourselves. By Friday afternoon, a tourist bus came for a buffet lunch at the on-site restaurant and to spend time at the pools, so it got a bit crowded for a few hours, but it got quiet after they left again and we continued to enjoy the property until the natural pool closed at 6pm and then drove back to Punta Cana. The personnel at reception was attentive and gave us information for a tour to the Haitises (highly recommended by the way). This was by far, our favorite short trip of our entire 3-week stay in DR. I think that coming mid-week helped avoid the crowds too.

The 30 min drive through the dirt road to reach the property was a bit rough for us driving a sedan, but we managed and were relieved to make it to the hotel without the car breaking apart. The natural pool area had a bit too many bees around, so it was tricky to enjoy our drinks 🙃! The bees were chasing after anything with the faintest smell of sugar. The restaurant servers could benefit from some ‘hospitality’ training but I would say the same about almost all restaurants throughout Punta Cana, outside the all-inclusive hotels. I don’t understand how a country that relies so much on tourism can have so many non-attentive servers.

We loved the hotel and the staff. Note that the Sunday we were there the pool got quite crowded with folks with day passes. The evenings were perfect.
